When starting out, you’ll be able to select a variety of crops to farm. However, not all of them are equally good. Some manage to stand out due to being cheaper to purchase or rewarding more money once sold.
Keep in mind that you’ll need to grow various crops for quests and gifts. However, the main crop that you’ll grow each season should be the most profitable one.
Here are the best crops for each season in SoS AWL.
Best Winter Crop in SoS AWL
Not many crops can be planted in the Winter season. Thankfully, there are some great choices if you want to continue farming in the chilly season.
The best Winter crop in the game is the Potato, which grows in Winter and Spring.
Each Potato Seed will cost 40g and an S-Rank Potato can sell for 240g, while a B-Rank Potato can score up to 180g.
Best Autumn Crop in SoS AWL
During Autumn, players don’t have as many choices in terms of crops as one would hope. Based on that, the best Autumn crop is the Tomato, which can be planted in Autumn, Spring, and Summer.
Each Tomato Seed costs 30g and a B-Rank Tomato can sell for 105g.
Additionally, the Tomato is the best crop to have a surplus of as it’s needed for many Hybrid plants later in the game.
Best Spring & Summer Crop in SoS AWL
The best Spring and Summer crop in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, as well as the best crop overall, is the Watermelon. It can be planted and grown in the Spring and Summer seasons and is extremely profitable.
Specifically, Watermelon Seeds cost 60g, can be grown in any soil, and award 195g once sold at B-rank. With some fertilizer, you can get an even higher rank and make more money.
Alternatively, you can also consider growing Tomatoes which can be planted in every season except Winter.
