How to Unlock Night Diving in Dave the Diver
To unlock night diving and dive at night in Dave the Diver, progress the main story until the second Chapter and complete the “Sea People Language Translator” quest.
To complete this quest, you’ll need to explore the ocean and find 1x Amethyst, 1x Microphone, and 1x Sea People Stone Tablet.
The Microphone can be found beneath the shipwreck, 112 meters deep. The Sea People Stone Tablet is located within the Sea People Record Chamber just next to the entrance. Lastly, the Amestyst can be found easily around the depths.
Deliver these items to Dr. Bacon and you’ll be able to start diving at night.
How Night Diving Works in Dave the Diver
Night diving is different compared to day diving as there are new mechanics to keep track of. Specifically, to optimize your night diving experience in Dave the Diver, here is everything you need to know about how to dive at night:
- You can only dive once – If you go back to the surface, you won’t be able to dive again. Thus, make sure to use any oxygen you find and stay underwater as long as you can.
- Nighttime fish are stronger – The fish you’ll encounter will be more aggressive and overall stronger so make sure to come prepared by picking up the best weapons in Dave the Diver.
- You will lose some of your restaurant hours – If you decide to go night diving, you will lose 1/3 of your restaurant working hours, which means you’ll earn less money from there.
As long as you’re properly prepared and don’t mind sacrificing some of your restaurant working hours, night diving is a great experience and it’s well worth it.
Wrapping up
In conclusion, players can unlock night diving in Dave the Diver after completing the quest “Sea People Language Translator” in Chapter Two.
Then, they’ll be able to go night diving at any point at the cost of losing 1/3 of their restaurant open hours. Just be careful of the stronger fish and manage your oxygen right as you can’t re-dive if you go to the surface.
