To start the “Phoenix Rising” quest and get a phoenix, players will need to progress Deek’s questline within the Room of Requirement.

The previous quest will be “Foal of the Dead”, which requires catching and breeding Thestrals.

Additionally, players will need to complete the “Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial” main story quest.

After fulfilling the requirements, you’ll get an owl from Professor Weasley telling you to visit Deek in the Room of Requirement.

Phoenix Rising Quest Guide – Where to Find the Phoenix

To get the Phoenix, follow the quest marker to the Phoenix Mountain Cave on the Southeast side of the map. Enter the cave and follow the main path heading upwards.

Keep in mind that there will be Poachers all around the cave and you’ll have to defeat them to get through.

Keep heading up and when you reach the top, you’ll encounter the phoenix. Then, use the Nab-Sack spell to catch the phoenix and bring it back to Deek to complete the quest.

When you bring the phoenix back to the Room of Requirement, you’ll unlock a new vivarium and the phoenix will fly straight in.

To get phoenix feathers in the game, you’ll need to visit the vivarium with the phoenix and feed and pet the beast.

Keep in mind that there is only one phoenix in the game and thus there is no way to breed the phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy.

As for what to do with phoenix feathers, you can use them in the loom to upgrade certain pieces of gear.
