1. Build Near Fresh Water
One of the most important early-game tips is to build near fresh water; any river or lake will do. This is because water is an important resource and your character will always be thirsty.
Without fresh water nearby, getting water will be an issue during the early game.
Players will have to seek turtles to create rain catches and the whole process can take a lot of time. With a river nearby, you can use that time to gather food or seek other key resources.
2. Build in an Open Area
When starting, you may think building in a small and secrete area is your best bet. However, this is false.
