So, are you interested to know about all the weapons available in Bayonetta 3?
Full List of Weapons in Bayonetta 3
There are 13 weapons in Bayonetta 3, combing both old and new, each with its own set of skills and unlock requirements. Let’s go through each, one by one!
Color My World
Color my World will be one of the first weapons you obtain in Bayonetta 3 and is similar to Scarborough Fair and Love Is Blue from Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 respectively.
It’s a set of four handguns with a shade of purple as their body color. Each handgun has its own name as well – Orange Blossom, Yellow Sunshine, Green Grass and Blue Sky.
Color my World is a long-range type of weapon and can summon Madama Butterfly’s arms when used by Bayonetta. This leads to Bayonetta performing graceful dance moves while attacking the enemies with various combos.
The weapon is easily obtained after you’re done with the first task of the game.
Handguns
There are normal handguns available in the game too, similar to Color My World but without any special skills or traits.
The handgun doesn’t summon any form of Demons either and is only effective against humans in Bayonetta 3. It’s unlocked with the Color my World weapon, after you finish the first verse of Chapter 1.
G-Pillar
The G-Pillar weapon can be acquired at the end of Chapter 2 when the mission involving the Gates of Hell is properly completed.
It comes with dual abilities in the form of long-ranged combat as well as melee attacks. The melee attack can take out enemies in close-range while the rifle portion of the weapon is amazing against enemies further away.
When using this weapon, you’ll notice purple flames on Bayonetta’s feet whenever she moves. The traits of the weapon boosts its ability even more.
The Charge Modifier ability increases the range and damage levels of the G-Pillar, whereas the Demon Masquerade takes it to another level by transforming Bayonetta into a beast that can perform deadly finishers on the enemies.
Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo
The weapon available after completing all the missions in Chapter 3 is Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo. It’s perfect for launching attacks on enemies who are a bit far away through webs or the yo-yos.
The yo-yos rotate while attacking and thus, deals double or triple the damage of a single attack. The webs are usually used against enemies where the yo-yos won’t be able to create much impact.
Thanks to the Demon Masquerade trait, Bayonetta turns into a scary, half-spider and half-human form when the weapon is equipped.
The bottom half is the spider-like form and it can deal damage on enemies with the sharp legs and fiery tail.
Alruna
Remember how Rodin trapped Alarune inside the Alruna and gave it to Bayonetta in Bayonetta 2?
Well, the Alruna makes an appearance in Bayonetta 3 and works like a whip as well. Alruna can be used to clear out surrounding enemies quickly with the help of its wide degree of sweeping range.
The Alruna can also form spiky and sharp extensions to inflict greater damage on the enemies by firing those extensions.
The Demon Masquerade turns Bayonetta into a thorny monster with a huge tail and hugely boosts Bayonetta’s jumping in the process.
In Bayonetta 3, Alruna needs to be unlocked by fighting off Infernal Demons, including Alarune, in a side quest of Chapter 3, after the main missions of Chapter 3 are completed.
Dead End Express
Coming with a Demonic Element of the Wartrain Gouon train, the Dead End Express weapon looks like two chainsaws stuck together at a pivot. Each has multiple blades that will cut through and demolish all enemies that come nearby.
As you’ve probably figured it out, there’s a striking similarity of this weapon with Salamandra from Bayonetta 2.
When Bayonetta is using this weapon, the Demon Masquerade trait has a similar impact as that of the Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo weapon, but this around, the lower part of Bayonetta has wheels to help her charge and cut through enemies at high speeds.
The Dead End Express is acquired by successfully completing Chapter 6.
Simoon
Simoon will spike up that adrenaline rush with its rapidly-moving blades that attacks the enemies best from a short to medium range.
These blades will strike the enemies to deal damage and also brings out black feathers on Bayonetta’s feet.
Furthermore, the weapon Summons the spirits of the Malphas demons that replaces Bayonetta’s arms with large wings.
Along with the ability to soar up and move faster, the wings can be used to constantly strike enemies and performing finisher combos.
The Khanjar and Tempest abilities of Simoon also makes Bayonetta incredibly strong and quite satisfying to kill enemies with!
You’ll be able to use Simoon after completing Chapter 9.
Ribbit Libido-BZ55
The Ribbit Libido-BZ55 is another weapon that’s unlocked at the end of Chapter 9.
In contrast to the blades of Simoon, the BZ55 is a microphone that hosts a unique set of attacks! The stand of the microphone can be used as a weapon to perform melee attacks on nearby enemies.
But, what makes this weapon unique is how Bayonetta can use the amplification feature of the microphone to deal AoE damage on enemies using her voice!
The Ribbit Libido also transforms Bayonetta into a scary, beastly creature – one that has the looks of a sea monster!
Bayonetta inherits the abilities of Baal, an infernal demon, and besides inflicting AoE damage, the weird, fast-moving tongue can be used to attack as well.
Tartarus
Tartarus is made of steel and has the design of that of a gate. The sharp steel comes from the remains of the Umbran clock tower in Chapter 11.
It’s used to add the sharp features of Tartarus and turn the weapon into an insane damage-dealer, which mimics the attacks of associated demons.
Tartarus, when equipped, will turn Bayonetta into an invincible creature that absorbs all pain and constantly attacks using those gate-like hands. The creature looks more like a machine and can also bring out guns to fire at enemies!
Abracadabra
As you probably figured it out form the name, the Abracadabra basically brings about a magician’s set, involving the canes and hats. The hat is called Abra and the cane, Cadabra.
Just like magic, the Abracadabra works with a surprise in store, as you may notice vehicles and bombs being launched at the enemies from nothing!
Carrying the essence of Mictlantecuhtli, Abracadabra can turn Bayonetta into a magical creature with a half-split body held together by a thunder bold.
This helps Bayonetta to glide, but there’s an added option to propel one part of the body before the other.
Furthermore, this weapon, obtained after completing level 12, isn’t used to initiate melee or fiery attacks, but rather to launch projectiles at enemies.
The Storm Stinger and Shuffle traits of the weapon attack enemies with the help of a swarm of bats!
Cruel Altea
Channeling the essence of the Infernal Demon Labolas, the Cruel Altea generates cool, blue, vapor-like fumes on Bayonetta’s feat.
Bayonetta is equipped with a structure on her limbs that can be divided into multiple segments while attacking.
Each section can attack the enemies separately to deal some long-range damage in the form of melee attacks and cold breaths.
During Demon Masquerade, Bayonetta turns into an absolute monster with four different legs to initiate attacks on enemies. It enables Bayonetta to glide rapidly through the air and perform insane icy combos to eliminate enemies!
The Cruel Altea is unlocked once you finish the final story Level 14!
Mab Dachi
The main weapon for Viola is the Mab Dachi and it’s automatically unlocked; so, all you need to do to use this weapon is to play as Viola.
The Mab Dachi is an extremely powerful and elegant katana that contains the spirits of the Infernal Demon Cheshire.
Along with deadly slashes, Viola can also launch the weapon at enemies to take them out from a distance. It returns back to her afterwards. The Mab Dachi can also be flamed up to inflict greater damage on a wider radius.
Similar to the Demon Masquerade for Bayonetta, the Demon Slave trait summons Cheshire, which attacks the enemies on its own. At that time, Viola will have to carry on through hand-to-hand melee attacks
Bull Kiss
The Bull Kiss is Viola’s secondary weapon, right after Mab Dachi. It’s a set of small dart-shaped weaponry used to throw at enemies that are considerably far for the Mab Dachi to have an effect.
The Darts have ether instilled in them and combined with magic, these darts inflict a seriously high level of damage on enemies.
Viola doesn’t have any essence of demons, but the weapon can be upgraded through specific abilities in the skill tree.
All 4 One
Jeanne’s main and primary weapon is the All 4 One, which is a stack of four handguns, similar to that of Bayonetta’s. However, these four handguns are grey in color and have feathers at their ends.
The names of these are Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and D’Artagnan. Along with the firing damage, the barrels of the guns are good enough for melee fights as well.
Unlike Viola’s weapons, the All 4 One does summon the Infernal Demon most associated with Jeanne, Madama Styx, and retrieves its power.
So, the damage inflicted by the All 4 One significantly increases during Demon Masquerade while also enabling Jeanne to glide and attack!
