Warcraft Rumble Guide: Tips & Tricks to Play Better

Today’s Warcraft Rumble guide will have all the tips and tricks you need to know to get the most out of the game, build the perfect team and destroy your opponents.

There’s a lot of strategy to talk here, but also some things to keep in mind that are not very straightforward. I’m going to cover them all in today’s strategy guide for Blizzard’s game, so let’s get it started!

1. Choose the best leader for your team

There are multiple leaders available in the game, but the truth is that only a few are really good. And choosing one of these best leaders can make your in-game progress a lot easier.

I have an in-depth guide to the best leaders in Warcraft Rumble, but the bottom line is that you should choose either of the following: Baron Rivendare, Rend Blackhand or Bloodmage Thalnos.

2. Focus on playing the best minis in the game

While the leader is extremely important and can give you huge boosts, you can’t win battles without a solid team.

Therefore, make sure that you focus on playing and leveling up the best minis in Warcraft Rumble.

Things are a bit more nuanced here, as multiple strategies can work, making specific minis (the other cards in your line-up) better choices than others.

But generally speaking, very good ones are the Necromancer, the Abomination or the Quilboar to mention just a few. Focus on playing these top minis often to both learn their strengths and weaknesses, but also to level them up.

3. Complete the main story missions

Although PvP battles can keep you busy for a really long time, I recommend focusing on the main story missions and completing them as quickly as possible.

These give you Sigils which will unlock various in-game features or rewards once you have enough of them.

Sigils are also the only way for you to unlock new Leaders (one new one for every 10 levels starting with stage 13).

4. Replay easy missions for more XP

Sooner rather than later, you will end up stuck at a specific mission. This is when the grinding has to begin – complete previous missions to gain XP for your main deck cards in order to make them better.

I recommend playing a mission over and over again, even if that seems boring. Choose one that you can easily master and ideally win easily in order to maximize the time spend grinding vs the rewards you’re getting.

5. PvP Fights to grab rewards

Winning PvP fights in Warcraft Rumble is a solid way of earning XP for your troops, but also plenty of gold coins for buying new cards.

The better you do when fighting other human players, the more gold you will earn, plus the various chests that you can unlock along the way.

Currently, there’s no energy system preventing you from playing infinite PvP fights – so take advantage of that if you have enough time on your hands and get as far as you can in the Arena.

Being active and winning in the arena also helps you earn points for your Alliance, potentially unlocking awesome rewards, like new Minis and various other goodies.

6. Keep an eye on the deals!

There are various daily offers that the game offers (with the maximum unlocked at 50 Sigils). Make sure to keep an eye on them, as there are plenty of freebies to be had there too!

7. Get the three Experience domes daily!

Each day, you can win up to three experience domes by completing enough battles in the single player campaign.

These give you tons of XP for various units you own, allowing you to quickly level up your favorite troops.

8. Complete the Quests for your main troops

There are also Quests that you can complete in Warcraft Rumble, fighting against opponents that you already have in your hand and, upon defeating them, winning XP for that particular card.

It seems that the game chooses opponents from your active deck, so it’s a must to complete at least three of these quests each day in order to grab not only the unit XP, but also the bonus XP points at the end of the day.

9. How to Get more gold in Warcraft Rumble

Gold is essential for unlocking new units in the game, but also for getting various special deals and other in-game goodies.

Getting more gold in Warcraft Rumble is not particularly easy. Early on, your only way to get more is to complete the single player missions.

Then, once the Arena opens, you can earn more gold from winning fights there, but the main source of gold will become the Arclight Surges which are unlocked at 22 sigils.

These will take over already completed missions on the map and redoing them will earn you additional coins. It’s the most pleasant way of grinding in the game, since you get not only XP for the troops, but also valuable gold coins.

10. How to spend your gold in Warcraft Rumble

Now that you know how to get more gold, it’s time to learn how to wisely spend it in the game.

The main thing you should spend your coins on is unlocking new troops. When you get one from the strange shop, you receive new units and eventually you will get the really good ones too.

IMPORTANT: When you buy a Mini from the grid, any other cards that are on the same vertical or horizontal line will disappear. So if you want to save a specific card for later use, you will have to spend the additional 5 gold to move it away.

Later on, when you’re satisfied with the number and quality of cards you have unlocked, you must switch your attention to buying copies of the cards you already have.

Buying copies lets you upgrade the rarity of the cards you own, but you need to spend plenty of coins for that, as you need three copies for an upgrade. This means that upgrading a common card to uncommon will cost 270 coins. So plan ahead and upgrade your top cards first!

11. Battle strategy tips for Warcraft Rumble

The most important part of the game, however, remains the battle arena. If you don’t have a good strategy, it doesn’t really matter how good your cards are. So let’s talk some quick but important battle strategy tips for Warcraft Rumble.

a) Analyze the battlefield

Before starting each battle, take as much time as you need to analyze the battlefield in PvE, and quickly do it in PvP battles.

There will always be a better route or a secret that can turn the odds in your favor.

b) Focus on a single lane

A strategy that proves really useful especially in PvP battles in Warcraft Rumble is that of attacking the enemy’s lane that has an extra tower or structure.

Yes, this takes more time and is pretty difficult to achieve, but once you capture it, your route to the enemy and winning is a lot easier.

I always rush to attack and take that over, keeping just enough gold available for a minimum defense of my other lane(s).

Some players might try to distract you from that route, but you shouldn’t do it. Once that area is conquered, victory is almost guaranteed.

When it comes to PvE battles though, the fastest route is usually the best choice because the AI doesn’t really take advantage of its more advanced lane. So in this case, focus on the easiest and fastest way to the main hero.

c) Know your cards and pair them together

Make sure that, whenever you deploy a card on the battlefield, you know exactly what it does, what its strengths and weaknesses are and how solid of an option it is for your current situation.

Pairing cards together is the skill you must master to keep on winning. Simple strategies are deploying a tank before a ranged unit, waiting for enemies to group together before casting a spell or AoE enemy or rushing with plenty of smaller troops on an undefended lane.

Try various strategies and see what works for the deck you have built and you will easily win all battles.

d) Mining and treasure hunting are very important

The one who has more gold in battle, has the higher chances of winning. Whenever there are treasure chests or ores to mine, make sure you’re the one who gets the loot.

I lost many battles (and won many too) because of this. It’s logical, after all: the one with the coins can deploy more troops, which makes it easier to overpower your enemy.

There are indeed a lot of things to keep in mind when it comes to playing Warcraft Rumble, but most of the tips I shared above will become second nature once you’re used to the in-game mechanics.

That’s when you have to switch your focus on improving your strategy, understanding the powers and weaknesses of your Minis and your leader and gaining the upper hand on the battlefield.
