Undawn will have you embarking on an adventure with other survivors, four years after a worldwide disaster where hordes of infected roam a shattered world. You will also meet NPCs that can make all the difference in your adventures.
In this tier list, I will go over the best characters in the game, in Undawn.
The game offers six different NPCs you will meet, Cain the leader, Roman the vehicle specialist, Yevgeny the mentor, Sherry the medic, Catherine the combat instructor, and Tang the skilled survivalist.
Now that you know who the NPCs are, let’s see how they stack when put next to each other.

Keep in mind though that if you like a character, their placement on the list won’t make much of a difference to you. Use your favorites, and enjoy the game.

Undawn: S-Tier Characters
S-tier characters are the cream of the crop. Characters that no matter what will always be beneficial to have with you.
Sherry the Medic
One of the few nurses left after the disaster. Everyone loves Sherry very much for her kindness, especially the children.
In a new world full of dangers, the lack of qualified medical personnel is extremely acute, so Sherry had to say goodbye to the dream of becoming a singer and joining the ranks of the medical team.
Roman the Vehicle Specialist
The best mechanic in the squad. He taught himself how to fly a helicopter and goes everywhere with his beloved German Shepherd.
Before the disaster, Roman was a professional racer, but the team leader set the guy upright during the competition, so the poor guy had to forget about racing and become a car mechanic instead.
Undawn: A-Tier Characters
A-tier characters are amazing, and they have a lot to offer, but there are better options as seen in the S-tiers above.
Cain the Leader
The current leader of the Crow hideout, who simultaneously leads the Crow squad and oversees the development of the entire settlement.
After the disaster, Caine, who served as the county sheriff, quickly set up an organized search for survivors and a radio broadcast inviting people to join the settlement.
Catherine the Combat Expert
Combat instructor at the Raven hideout. It is distinguished by a restrained character, a heightened sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle a wide variety of weapons.
Catherine was born into a military family and was inspired by her father to join the Marine Corps, where she became a top marksman. After the disaster, the girl decided to join the Ravens so that her talents would serve the benefit of other survivors.
Yevgeny the Mentor
After the disaster, Yevgeny led the rescue team of the Ravens. It was he who helped Caine become a true leader, on which the survival of the entire community depends.
Yevgeny was in the organization of elite killers, but when his wife and daughter were killed, the life of this native of the cold northern region went downhill. Now the only reason for its existence is to atone for the sins of the past.
Undawn: B-Tier Characters
In the B-tier, there is only one character, and even though I believe there are better, he is by no means unusable.
Tang the Skilled Survivalist
Tang is a true expert in all things survival. If you need to search for supplies in the ruins of a metropolis or hunt with a crossbow, you’ve come to the right place. His inherent calmness and endurance perfectly complement the talents of the tracker and master of disguise.
Tang grew up an orphan and therefore learned to get everything he needed. This skill turned out to be just in time when the usual way of life collapsed. Among the inhabitants of the Shelter of the Ravens, there are few such reliable guys.
Final Thoughts
Characters you meet along the way can make the world feel richer and lived in. You meet them along the way, hear their stories, and at the end of the day make friends along the way.
