Tears of the Kingdom: How to Deal With Armored Bokoblins
Armored Bokoblins are different from the ordinary ones and are immune to your Melee or Ranged attacks to some extent.
These pesky monsters got really annoyed with Link getting in their way and decided it was better to have makeshift armor than stay as is. So now let’s go over how to break through that tough armor.
The first thing you will want to make use of is the environment. Weather can be your greatest asset and if it’s raining make use of it. Make sure you equip something metallic, and at the point lightning is about to strike be ready to throw it at them by pressing R.
Once lighting hits the armor will fall apart, and you will have the upper hand. But be sure to keep your distance, because there is a lightning AOE, and you can find yourself taking a lot of damage.
If the weather is clear, let’s go over what your other options are.
The Rock Hammer is going to be your go-to solution. Combine a Stone or Rock with your sword, and strike the enemies with it and it’ll destroy their armor after a few hits. Players have also stated that Link using a two-handed weapon can also do the trick.
If you like explosions then you should definitely consider using Bomb Flowers. You can either fuse an arrow with a bomb flower and destroy them or if you prefer to try something different fuse the bomb flower to your shield, and do a shield slide.
Once the shield touches the ground, the bomb will explode, Link will be flown into the air, the armor will break, and if you take out your bow, you will be slowing down time to aim for a weak point.
Final Thoughts
Bokoblins and every other type of enemy you will face will have a weakness. It may take a lot of time, and effort to figure out the best strategy but as long as you keep trying you will find the way that works for you the best.
Go out there, and tackle every challenge with out-of-the-box ideas. The game engine allows you to do all sorts of things. Following in the steps of Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom does an amazing job of giving players the ability to choose and act on it.
