There are four Crystal Refineries in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and they are essential for increasing Link’s maximum energy cap.
However, they are not easy to find and players will also need to obtain Crystallized Charges to use them.

All Crystal Refinery Locations in TotK
There are four Crystal Refineries in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. One is in Great Sky Island, one in Hyrule, and two in The Depths. Let’s examine how to find each of them.
The first Crystal Refinery can be found on the south side of the Great Sky Island. It is reasonably easy to locate since it’s next to the Nachoyah Shrine.
The second Crystal Refinery is in Hyrule, just next to Lookout Landing, north of Hyrule Field.
The third and fourth Crystal Refineries can be found in the Depths map. One is on the south side, in the Great Abandoned Central Mine, while the other one is in the Abandoned Eldin Mine area, on the northeast side of the Depths.
Keep in mind that for the last refinery, you’ll need the Flame Guard buff to protect Link from high temperatures. This buff can be gained if you get the Flamebreaker armor set in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Get and Use Crystallized Charges in TotK
In Crystal Refineries, players can spend 100 Crystallized Charges and create an Energy Well, which upgrades the Energy Cell and increases maximum energy.
Crystallized Charges can be obtained by accessing any of the six Forge Construct locations in TotK. These forges allow you to exchange any Zonaite you’ve mined for Zonai Cores and Crystallized Charges.
Thus, mine Zonaite, convert it into Crystallized charges via any Forge Construct, and then visit any Crystal Refinery to upgrade your Energy Cell.
