How to Get the Maintenance Keycard in Sons of the Forest – Map Location
To get the Maintenance Keycard in Sons of the Forest, players will need to travel to the Northwest side of the island and uncover an underground bunker there, known as the Maintenance A Bunker.
To uncover this bunker, it’s essential to have the Shovel unlocked. Then, simply travel to the location shown in the image and use the Shovel to dig.
Head into the bunker, straight through the main corridor, and enter the first door on your right. At the back side of the room, on top of a desk and next to the 3D Printer, you’ll find the Maintenance Keycard.
Other than the keycard, you’ll find the following items in this bunker:
- 3D Printer
- Firefighter Axe
- Laser Sight Weapon Attachment
- Tuxedo Outfit
- Materials

Where to Use the Maintenance Keycard in Sons of the Forest
The Maintenance Keycard unlocks multiple doors around the island and some of them contain useful tools, while all have helpful materials.
Here’s every door you can unlock with this keycard:
Cave – Includes VIP Keycard, Crossbow, and a Shotgun Rail. Progress further in the cave into the VIP Room to also find a dress for Virginia.
Bunker 1/Maintenance Door – Includes Barbara Puffton’s email related to the story and the Track Suit.
Bunker 2/Maintenance Door – Includes the Golden Mask
Overall, the Maintenance Keycard is needed for progressing the story and for gaining access to a wide variety of tools and materials.
