As the first creature you can tame, Ladybugs can be found all around the spawn area.
They can be spotted all around the Great Tree, near the central river of the map.
To tame them, you’ll need to damage them until they get to half HP or less and then interact with them and use the Ladybug Travel Kit.

How to Unlock and Craft a Ladybug Travel Kit
The Ladybug Travel Kit recipe can be unlocked right after crafting a Workbench. Then, it can be crafted with the following materials:
- 3x Edible Mushroom
- 2x Nectar
- 5x Fiber
Edible Mushrooms can be found almost anywhere on the ground, Nectar is on certain flowers such as Poppies, while Fiber is commonly found on small plants, saplings, and trees.
All these materials can be found near the starting area, so make sure to use your tracking sense and you’re good to go.
Use the Ladybug Travel Kit on a Ladybug and now it’s tamed. The Ladybug will follow you around and have 20 extra inventory slots to carry your items.
