As you level up your characters, you’ll be called to decide where to spend your level-up points. Let’s see the best stats for each character when leveling up in Sea of Stars.

Keep in mind that the game includes six characters in total and thus this article will contain spoilers regarding all unlockable characters.

In this guide, I will showcase the best stats for each character in Sea of Stars to help you spend your points efficiently.

Best Stats for Each Character in Sea of Stars

When leveling up, you will be called to select one main stat to level up for each character. However, not all characters shine with the same stats. Some favor physical attack, others magical attack, while some prefer defensive stats.

Specifically, players will be called to select amongst the following six stats:

HP (Health Points)
MP (Mana Points)
ATK (Physical Attack)
DEF (Physical Defense)
M. ATK (Magical Attack)
M. DEF (Magical Defense)

Keep in mind that each character upon leveling up will have 4 stats to choose from out of these six. So, you won’t be able to always go for a certain stat on a character and will need to check secondary options too.

Let’s examine each character and their best stats in turn:

Zale

The best stat for Zale is MP and M. ATK. His Fireball skill, especially in the early game, will deal phenomenal AoE damage and will help you deal with most enemies.

With enough M. ATK, Zale will be able to one-shot enemies, while a high MP stat will allow him to cast Fireball twice before having to use physical attacks to restore mana.

Valere

The best stat for Valere is ATK, since it will increase the damage of her physical attacks and of her Crescent Slash skill.

Secondarily, Valere should take MP as all of her skills are useful and it’s important to be able to use them at any point without worrying too much about MP.

Garl

Garl has surprisingly high starting attributes and the best stat for him is ATK.

He is able to deal amazing physical damage when attacking with his shield, while his already high defensive stats make it unnecessary to level up Defense.

Secondarily, I recommend leveling up HP or MP, based on which one you need the most.

Serai

The best stat for Serai is ATK as it buffs her physical attacks and her Venom Flurry skill.

Secondarily, I recommend opting for MP to use Disorient and Venom Flurry more often. These skills are game changers and some of the best skills in Sea of Stars.

Resh’an

Resh’an is your main mage and thus his best stats are MP and M. ATK. Focus on MP whenever available and secondarily for magic attack.

This way, you’ll be able to use his strong skills often and deal significant damage.

B’st

Best stats for each character in Sea of Stars - best stats for B'st.

B’st is a great DPS character and thus his best stats are ATK and M. ATK. His attacks and skills scale with both those, so feel free to select whichever one is available.
