Did you get stuck playing the Workshop Level in Rooms & Exits – Murder Dressed in White (Chapter 3)? Worry not – it happens to everyone, but I’m here to help! Today, I will share a full text walkthrough so you can complete it without any more headaches.
I recommend reading this walkthrough only if you are truly stuck (you’ve tried everything and the in-game hints don’t help) – the satisfaction of doing it yourself is greater.
But sometimes, that just seems impossible, and if that’s the case, let’s check out the full Rooms & Exits Workshop Level 5 walkthrough below!
1. Tap the blue storage box by the stool and get the piece of paper.
2. Tap the tool display on the wall and get the hammer and handle. Also there, tap the wrenches to zoom in. If you look closely (very closely), you will see that each has a number on it: 4, 10, 19.
3. Go back and tap the large red toolbox. Open the lock using the code from the wrenches. Get the blade and handle.
4. In your inventory, combine the handle and blade to get a Saw. Use the saw on the wooden board with a lock in front of the wardrobe. From inside, get a piece of paper. You can also notice a hint written there on the wall, but we’ll get to it later.
5. Now, let’s go to the laptop. The password is written on the piece of paper we just got – that’s the Morse code for SOS, so write “SOS” in the password field. You will see a clock showing you: 14:00.
6. Go and tap the clock on the wall and set the time as seen on the laptop’s screen. You will hear a cuckoo singing – go back and get the key from the cuckoo.
7. Use the key to open the bird cage in the corner. From your inventory, use the handle on the music box and get the other piece of paper.
8. Now let’s do some difficult math! If you go back to the opened wardrobe, the writing on the wall reads:
- XC=3
- 4=XL-10
Our pieces of paper read: 2=X and 1=L. In Roman numerals, X=10, L=50 and C=100.
So, XC is 90 based on the Roman numeral writing, and XL-10 is 30. The numbers before the equal sign simply tell us the order in which we’ll use these numbers.
9. Go back and zoom into the safe. Using the numbers we just discovered, set the dial on the safe to this, in this order: 50, 10, 90, 30.
10. The safe opens automatically. Use the hammer in your inventory on the bottle and get the USB drive. Notice there’s another time written on it.
11. Go back to the clock and set the time to match the one on the USB stick (3:45). You will hear the cuckoo sing again. Go back and get the red screwdriver from under the wall clock.
12. Go back and zoom into the red paint bucket. Use the screwdriver on the lid and get the key inside. Use the key on the door and exit!
