Best Weapons to Unlock Early in Remnant 2
Without further delay, here are the five best weapons to unlock in Remnant 2 early game that will help you take down enemies and bosses alike with ease:
5. Plasma Cutter
The Plasma Cutter is a beam rifle with long range and high damage. To unlock it, find the Navigator’s Helm in the second N’Erud overworld map.
Check the devices that are thumping the ground and one of them will have a hole just below it. Jump in, defeat the enemies there, and you’ll get the Navigator’s Helm.
Then, within the second N’Erud overworld map again, look for a crashed convoy. This has a low spawn chance, so you may need to try multiple times. When you find it, equip the Navigator’s Helm and head inside.
You will get scanned and as long as you’re wearing the helmet, the door will open. Within the only room there, you’ll find the Plasma Cutter.
4. Meridian
Meridian is a grenade launcher weapon that can be equipped in the handgun slot. To unlock Meridian, navigate to Losomn and reach one of the three following sewer tiles: Harvester’s Reach, the Great Sewer, or Tiller’s Rest.
Explore everything within that tile and look for a raised wooden structure as shown in the picture above. Explore the platforms inside and look for a pipe that’s blocked by an orange blob. Shoot the blob and water will start flowing.
Then, you’ll need to wait 90 minutes for the room to fill with water. You can visit another area and come back later or go AFK for the next hour and a half.
The room will fill with water and you’ll be able to jump in the two wooden platforms in the water to access a hidden passage where you’ll get the Meridian.
3. Spectral Blade
The Spectral Blade is a melee, katana-like weapon, that’s ideal for melee loadouts such as the best Invader build in Remnant 2. To unlock the Spectral Blade, players will need to defeat Sha’Hala: Spectral Guardian of N’Erud the standard way.
It will drop an Eidolon Shard which can be brought to Ava McCabe in Ward 13 and craft the Spectral Blade.
2. Aphelion
The Aphelion is one of the best early weapons to unlock in Remnant 2 and its playstyle resembles something between a shotgun and a laser.
To get the Aphelion in Remnant 2, players will need to defeat Sha’Hala Spectral Guardian of N’Erud via the alternate method. Thus, in one playthrough, you can either get the Spectral Blade or the Aphelion; not both.

1. Nightfall
Nightfall is one of the strongest weapons in Remnant 2 as it’s a single-fire rifle that deals phenomenal damage. To unlock it, defeat the Nightweaver world boss in Losomn through the standard way to get the Cursed Dream Silks item.
Take this back to Ava McCabe in Ward 13 and you’ll be able to craft Nightfall.
The Nightfall is an ideal choice for the best Gunslinger build in Remnant 2, as this class can utilize this weapon to its fullest potential by making it fully automatic.
