Remnant 2: All Secret Classes and How to Unlock Them

Not every class will be unlocked upon starting the game and some will require visiting specific locations. Let’s see how to unlock all secret classes in Remnant 2.

During your playthrough, you’ll have the option to change class often. Other than the starting classes, there are seven secret classes that are unlocked by completing certain parts of the game.

In this guide, I will list all secret classes in Remnant 2 and explain how to unlock them.

All Secret Classes in Remnant 2

There are seven secret classes in Remnant 2 and here are all of them:

Alchemist
Engineer
Explorer
Gunslinger
Summoner
Invader
Archon

Each of them has different requirements to unlock, so let’s go through them in turn.

How to unlock the Alchemist

To unlock the Alchemist, navigate to the city of Losomn. Look for sewer grates and get close to them. In some cases, you will get dragged by a creature through the sewer grate.

Make sure that you only visit sewer grates that are outside in open areas. If you get dragged from a sewer grate that’s on an inside area, you won’t find the creature you’re looking for.

This is random and can occur at any sewer grate, so keep roaming around until it happens.

Kill the creature, loot it, and then visit Wallace to unlock the Alchemist.

How to unlock the Engineer

To unlock the Engineer in Remnant 2, navigate to N’erud and look for a hidden path in the second overworld (Eon Vault/Timeless Horizon) to find the Alien Device. The fog will make it hard to navigate but you’ll need to look for a platform near the edge of the map that you can jump to.

This will take a lot of looking around and the fact that each time the map is randomly generated doesn’t help. Make sure you’re in Eon Vault or Timeless Horizon and keep searching the edges.

After finding the Alien Device, take it to Wallace in Ward 13 to unlock the Engineer.

How to unlock the Explorer

To unlock the Explorer, players will need to beat the game in any difficulty. This will grant them a Broken Compass, which can be taken to Wallace in Ward 13 to unlock this class.

How to unlock the Gunslinger

To unlock the Gunslinger, players will need to beat the second world. Then, they can talk to Mudtooth and ask him to share stories multiple times. When he has no more stories to share, he will give you all the materials required for the Gunslinger.

Once you’ve gotten the Worn Cylinder, head back to Wallace in Ward 13 to unlock the Gunslinger.

How to unlock the Summoner

To unlock the Summoner in Remnant 2, navigate to the Yaesha region and craft the Faded Grimoire at a Bloodmoon Altar. This will require the following materials:

15x Blood Moon Essence – Can be found all over Yaesha during the Blood Moon event (when the sky is red and there’s a huge blood moon) and they are pink orbs that float around.
5x Lumenite Crystal – Can be bought from Cass at Ward 13 or dropped from bosses and elite enemies.
1,500x Scrap

Then, take the Faded Grimoire to Wallace in Ward 13 and that’s all.

How to unlock the Invader

To unlock the Invader, players will need to get the Dream Catcher weapon first. Then, they should head to Root Earth and go up until the first checkpoint of the ship. Head straight to reach the bottom while killing the enemies.

After you get outside, use the Dream Catcher weapon to attack the blue mist there and you’ll get the Walker’s Dream item. Use that item and you’ll get teleported to a different reality.

Go back to the same area and instead of the mist, you’ll find an enemy named Bane. Defeat Bane to get the Wooden Shiv, which can be brought to Wallace to unlock the Invader.

How to unlock the Archon

The Archon is the hardest secret class to unlock. If you want to unlock all secret classes in Remnant 2, you can’t skip the Archon, which is also one of the strongest classes in the game. It can be unlocked by owning and equipping all the following items:

Void Heart – Visit the N’Erud version with the Sha’Hala boss with Seeker’s Rest. Visit Alepsis Taura and you can take the item there after waiting for 12 real-life hours for the ship to arrive.
Lote’s Amulet – Buy from Reggier after 100x flop from wearing heavy armor.
Explorer’s set – Buy from Whispers after beating the game.
Fortune Hunter & Worm Hole – Reach Explorer Lv. 10 and Invader Lv. 5.
Amber Moonstone – Random drop from Cass’ shop, which refreshes every 30 minutes.
Black Cat Band – Earned after dying 15 times.
Cube Gun – Craft in Labyrinth after beating the boss.
Ford’s Scattergun – Visit the Red Throne on Yaesha and find a fake wall on the left side of the Library while wearing the Seal of the Empress Ring. Make sure not to offend the queen and don’t give her the Thaen Seed or the Lockbox.
Labyrinth Staff – Go left from the checkpoint in front of the changing portal and jump down to a floating path. Kill Bastion there and pick it up behind him.
Zania’s Malice – Navigate to Root Earth, Ashen Wasteland and find a hole in the wall after the first checkpoint.
Anastasija’s Inspiration – Buy from Whispers.

After equipping all these items, visit the Shifting Portal in the Fractured Ingress within the Labyrinth. When the portal’s image shows a round cracked floor, count to three and jump through the portal.

This will cause you to walk on an invisible floor. Run ahead and interact with the red glowing door on the right, which is activated with the Biome Portal Key.

This will lead you inside the Backrooms, where you can find three items: the Bisected Ring (infinite stamina), the Gunfire Security Lanyard AMulet (auto-reload), and the Strange Cube (unlocks the Archon).

Bring the Strange Cube to Wallace in Ward 13 and you’ll unlock the Archon in Remnant 2.
