Paladins offers a variety of champions to pick from, and this tier list will go over the best champions in the game.
The best champions to pick from are Androxus, Khan, Lian, and Ying.
The game offers various game modes, many competitive ranks to reach, and a lot of different ways to play these champions. This way you will be able to pick champions that are currently strong, but also easy to pick up and play if you are starting now.
Let’s go over the champions in more detail.
Paladins: S-Tier Champions
The S-tier champions are very strong with the recent changes to the items store, and their unique balance adjustments. They have a wide variety of playstyles, and no matter the team comp, they will always be a strong option.
- Androxus
- Khan
- Lian
- Ying
Now that you know the S-tier champions, let’s go over a little about what makes each one of them so great.
- Androxus
Androxus is a flank champion who focuses on securing kills when your team weakens the opponents. He can also be strong enough to flank on his own, and by using your abilities correctly, he can be hard to deal with.
The recent changes to his talent to the dash ability make his mobility a strong utility option to create space for your team to capture or push the point. You can also utilize one of his loadout cards that offers healing while Adroxus is floating.
- Khan
Khan is one of the best off-tanks in the game as of the current meta. Though you never see him capturing the point, he is mostly seen working his way through the enemy team’s backline to cripple them.
He has self-healing, a strong shield, and with Storm of Bullet a high rate of fire. His ultimate can also be used to eliminate a threat on the enemy team, or even throw them off most maps. He is either pick him or ban him champion.
- Lian
Lian has always been a really strong champion, with a hitscan weapon and many useful abilities that combo together. She recently got a buff in both her health and weapon damage making her a viable backline or a flanking damage champion.
Precision has become her highest-picked talent and is used with her Alacrity loadout. Her playstyle focuses on combining your abilities to lower your active cooldowns. Once you learn her combo rotation you will be able to destroy all squishy champions.
- Ying
Ying is a really strong support, with both high healing output and true healing through her ultimate. Her kit revolves around her clones, and depending on her talent the use of her left click. Morale Boost is also an item you want to max quickly.
With the increase to three clones, you can heal your team effectively, while having an escape route if needed. Her ultimate provides a lot of healing to your entire team making it a great asset to get the upper hand in point fights.
Paladins: A-Tier Champions
A-tier champions can be strong, but they are not as versatile as S-tier champions. They have a couple of strong playstyles, but they often need to work together with other champions to make use of everything they are capable of.
- Ash
- Azaan
- Barik
- Bomb King
- Drogoz
- Evie
- Grover
- Torvald
- Vatu
- Nyx
- Saati

Paladins: B-Tier Champions
B-tier is where the majority of the cast falls into. They are not bad champions per se, but they will feel outclassed compared to the others when used by players of comparable skill.
They need buffs to make them more viable in the current meta, but they have enough of a niche on some maps that can make them, or a specific playstyle that makes them strong.
- Atlas
- Cassie
- Corvus
- Dredge
- Fernando
- Inara
- Io
- Koga
- Maeve
- Makoa
- Rei
- Ruckus
- Sha Lin
- Tyra
- Zhin
- Vora
Paladins: C-Tier Champions
C-tier is where you will need a better understanding of the game, and a lot of game sense to make use of everything they offer. They may appear simple, but it takes time to get used to how they work, and how to best use them in any given situation.
- Betty
- Buck
- Furia
- Imani
- Lilith
- Kinessa
- Mal’Damba
- Octavia
- Omen
- Pip
- Seris
- Talus
- Terminus
- Tiberius
- VII (Seven)
- Vivian
- Willow

Paladins: D-Tier Champions
Champions in the D-tier are champions that either need a lot of buffs or players that invested in their playstyle to make use of them effectively.
They can be a nightmare when you don’t know how to handle them, but as the skill ceiling increases, their usefulness falls off fast.
- Caspian
- Grohk
- Jenos
- Kasumi
- Lex
- Moji
- Raum
- Skye
- Strix
- Victor
- Yagorath
Final Thoughts
Paladins is getting constantly updated, and any champion can become strong. If you like to use a champion then use them regardless of where they land. Have fun, enjoy the game, and learn how your main works through those tough matchups.
I personally love Seris, and if the tier list was based on my bias she would be much higher, but I feel that the tier list offers as close to objective a view as it could in what is considered strong in the current meta of the game.
