Thus, it’s ideal to use when leveling up a newly-unlocked character, or when trying to give an edge to your main DPS.
As you can’t change the difficulty settings in the game, leveling up is the main way for getting stronger and the EXP Augmentor will help you achieve it faster.

How to Get the EXP Augmentor in Octopath Traveler 2
To get the EXP Augmentor in Octopath Traveler 2, travel to Frigit Isle in the Winterlands. This is located on the Northeast side of the map, just North of New Delsta Harbor: Anchorage.
The chest can be found just east of the island, without having to leave your ship.
Overall, it’s easy to acquire since it doesn’t require any combat. The only requirement is to have unlocked the ship.

How to Unlock the Ship in Octopath Traveler 2
To unlock the ship in Octopath Traveler 2, players will need to complete the following steps:
- Have Partitio in your party – No need to level him up or progress his story. All you need is access to his talents.
- Travel to Tropu’hopu in Toto’haha and move to Tropu’hopu Shipyard.
- As long as you have Partitio in your party, a cutscene will play and the quest “The Scent of Commerce” will begin.
- Talk to the mechanic on the docks, just on the right of the large ship to progress the quest.
- During the daytime, use Partitio’s talent to buy the ship from the mechanic for 100,000 coins.
Since 100,000 coins are expensive, there is a way to get a discount. Before buying the ship and after step 4, head back to the beach and move left to Tropu’hopu.
Set the time to night and use Partitio’s talent to hire one of the two following NPCs:

Based on how much you want to gamble, pick the NPC of your choice.
Another tip you can do is save before recruiting the NPC, then recruit them and go to the mechanic to see if you can get the discount. If you can’t, reload the save and keep repeating until you get it.
