Red Crystal and Red Crystal Dust are two valuable mid-game resources. While they are fairly easy to find, they only exist in one area which needs to be unlocked first.

How to Get Red Crystal Dust
To make Red Crystal Dust in Lightyear Frontier, you must place one Red Crystal in the Grinder and wait two minutes for the crafting to be complete. This will yield 2x Red Crystal Dust.
The tricky part is crafting the Grinder and getting enough Red Crystals. Let’s go through how to get both in turn.

How to Craft the Grinder
To craft the Grinder, you will need the following materials:
- 12x Stone
- 4x Copper Wipe
- 4x Aluminum Rod
If you haven’t unlocked the Grinder recipe yet, you’ll need to craft Copper Wire. You can do that by farming Copper at the south side of Edge Cliffs and placing it in your Assembler to make Copper Wire.
Where to Find Red Crystals
You can find Red Crystals in the Pine Heights location, at the top left side of the map (left of the Meadows).
It’s a very common resource there and you can find it almost anywhere as you roam through the map. Just keep your eyes open for Red Glowing crystals and you’re good to go.
