Jackhammer is one of the hardest boss enemies in Jagged Alliance 3 and players will encounter him when visiting the Good Place prison.

There, they can kill Jackhammer, send him to prison, or let him go. Each choice will have different consequences and it’s important to choose the right one.

In this decision guide, I will explain all options available after beating the Jackhammer boss to help you decide which one to choose.

Where to Find Jackhammer in JA 3

Players will encounter Jackhammer during The Good Place quest, where they’ll need to make loyalties with Port Cacao.

Before starting the mission, make sure you’re prepared with enough lockpicks to open doors and bring mercs with high Leadership and Wisdom as there are two dialogue options with Jackhammer that require those attributes.

Your main goal is to clear the prison by killing all outside guards and then going inside the prison to defeat the Jackhammer boss.

Once Jackhammer reaches low HP, the mission will be completed. However, there is an extra dialogue option available if you decide to kill all guards before taking down Jackhammer.

After taking down Jackhammer in Jagged Alliance 3, you will have four options regarding his fate:

  • Time to Die – Kill Jackhammer and earn 1x Kevlar Leggings, 1x AA12 Shotgun, and 10 Loyalty with Port Cacao.
  • You Will Go to Prison (this option becomes available after clearing the entire prison before defeating Jackhammer and succeeding the Wisdom and Leadership checks) – Send Jackhammer to Prison and earn 1x AA12 Shotgun, 5 Loyalty with Port Cacao, and increase the morale of your mercs.
  • Threaten Jackhammer (this option becomes available if you fail the Wisdom and Leadership checks) – Threaten Jackhammer and take $10,000 as ransom.
  • Let Him Go – Let Jackhammer go and earn no rewards. Instead, you will lose 10 Loyalty with Port Cacao and your mercs will have their morale reduced. Then, Jackhammer will attack the Prison again; if he succeeds, he will attack Port Cacao too.

Overall, the best option is to either kill or imprison Jackhammer due to the rewards given. Letting him go isn’t recommended unless you want to make the game more challenging by fighting him again later on.

Of course, if you really need the money, you can choose to threaten him. However, other than the money, you won’t get any rewards.
