Inventory management is a crucial part that affects your overall economy. Today’s guide will showcase how to sell and buy items, in Jagged Alliance 3.
Equipment, recruiting, and running a mercenary group can cost a small fortune, and when the money runs a little low, and diamond mines are just not enough, you will need to make up for the difference.
At the same time, there will be times you will find yourself wanting, but you may not know where to buy items.
Thankfully, there’s a lot you can do to mitigate both issues. Selling, and buying items is one of the many ways money is used in the game.

Jagged Alliance 3: How to Sell Items

There are many valuable items that can be found while exploring the map. These include the following:
- Relics: Found in tombs within Diamond mines.
- Hardware: Found in enemy encampments and they include phones and other electronic gadgets.
- Guns: Scavenge and sell guns from any enemies you defeat. Make sure to repair them first and then sell them to make more money.
- Diamond Shipments: You can obtain it by attacking special convoys roaming the region, which are guarded by The Legion.
- Big Diamonds: These are quite rare, and they can be found in important places like sectors with quests or interesting events.
- Small Diamonds: They can be found in locations connected to events and quests, but they can also be found in other places.
There are two ways players will be able to sell items, in Jagged Alliance 3.
The first option is straight from your inventory. Simply right-click them and you will see an option “cash in”. Some selected items can be sold in the world.
- Small Diamonds can be sold to Father Tooker for 700$ ( This is not recommended at first, because you can use them to buy something more important. )
- Parts can be sold at vendors in Fleatown
Most equipment in the game cannot be sold, but that’s a good thing because there are no unnecessary items. They can be used as parts, gear upgrades, and even bags of Chien money can be used as a currency.
Jagged Alliance 3: How to Buy Items
Buying items is a bit more limited compared to selling items.
Your first goal will be to liberate big cities, and once you have done that then you will be able to move about, and go around to the different vendors.
Aside from them, there is an NPC named Lalee Leeway who will trade small diamonds for loot boxes.
These loot boxes can have very valuable items as the rewards will be roughly four times cheaper than the counterparts that you can purchase directly, and one of the rewards is the coveted Metaviron which is quite rare in the game.
One more important thing to keep in mind is that the Metaviron reward can be used on Larry, and he will join your team and work free of charge. I mean free labor, can do wonders for the wallet.
Here is a list of the Loot Boxes rewards:
- Metaviron
- Tiny Diamonds: 2
- Skill Magazines: 3
- Combat Stim
- 7.62 NATO ammo: 70
- Parts: 18
- Stick Grenade
- Flashbangs: 2
- Grenade
- M1014 shotgun
