Disney Dreamlight Valley allows players to completely remake their character at any time, for free, while keeping all their progress.
This includes changing face details, hairstyle, skin color, and gender.
In this guide, I will explain how to change your hairstyle and appearance in Disney Dreamlight Valley for free.
How to Change Outfit in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Changing outfits is fairly straightforward in Disney Dreamlight Valley. After all, it’s one of the most common daily tasks that awards 50 dreamlight.
In case you aren’t sure how to do it, open your inventory (I on the keyboard, Triangle on ps controller), and select wardrobe.
From there, either select the piece you’re looking to change (pants, shirt, shoes, etc) or select all and see every clothing piece you’ve unlocked.
How to Change Hairstyle and Appearance
Changing hairstyle and appearance is equally simple, it’s just easy to miss. Specifically, it is located in the same tab as outfits.
Open your inventory again, select wardrobe, and then scroll down. You will be able to change all your character’s features from there, including face, brows, body, lips, and much more.
As for changing gender, all you need to do is select the ‘Body’ tab and then change the body type.
How to Unlock New Hairstyles
One of the main reasons for being able to change your hairstyle at any time is that some hairstyles are only unlocked after progressing the game.
Many characters offer hairstyles as a reward for leveling up their friendship. If you haven’t unlocked all characters yet, check our guide on how to unlock each villager in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
For instance, Mother Gothel unlocks the curly long hairstyle at friendship level 5, while Elsa unlocks her own hairstyle at friendship level 2.
As for Appearance features, there are no new unlockable ones at the moment. There are only the same options and presets that were available when first creating your character.
