Dave the Diver includes an ocean full of unique creatures. Other than catching and serving them, players also have the option to use the Camera and take pictures of them.
To do that, unlock the Camera by completing the “Where the Currents Flow?” quest, and swim to the Camera icon to take a picture.
In this guide, I will explain how to unlock the Camera and use it to take a picture in Dave the Diver.
Before moving on, make sure you’re aware of how to sell items in Dave the Diver as it is not exactly clear when starting out.
How to Unlock the Camera
To unlock the Camera in Dave the Diver, progress with the main quests until you reach and complete the “Where the Currents Flow?” mission.
For this quest, players will need to collect various parts and build a drone. Specifically, they will need to search the ocean for a Motor, a Computer Chip, and a Camera Lens.
To find these items, simply dive at 60m depths and head left until you find an opening. In the new area, keep heading left and down until you find all three items fairly close to each other.
Completing this will allow you to interact with Dr. Bacon, who will give you the Camera and include a small tutorial on how to use it.
How to Take a Picture in Dave the Diver
To use the Camera and take a picture in Dave the Diver, explore the ocean until you find a Camera icon. Heading there will allow you to take a picture.
After reaching the spot, adjust the Camera at the right angle with the Spacebar until the edges of the frame become green. Then, take the picture and you’re good to go.
Keep exploring the ocean and progressing with the quests while always keeping an eye out for Camera Spots.

To sum up, players can use the Camera and take a picture in Dave the Diver by swimming to any of the Camera Spots found around the ocean.
If you can manage to find 10 Photo Spots, you’ll also earn the achievement “Photographer”.
