Dissenters cause the faith of your loyal followers to drop consistently. Therefore, it is essential to deal with them quickly.
How to Re-educate Dissenters
The main option for dealing with dissenters is by re-education them. It is one of the first options you’ll see when talking to a dissenter. After selecting the re-educate option, their dissent bar will slightly drop.
Keep in mind that you’ll have to re-educate them multiple times before they become loyal followers again. This process will take several in-game days.
The issue is that until they are fully loyal again, dissenters will deduce your other followers’ faith. Therefore, letting them run around and spread rumors against you isn’t ideal. This is why we recommend combining re-education with imprisonment.

First, the easiest solution is murder. It’s an immediate solution that takes care of the problem.
Just make sure to do it at night, to avoid spreading mistrust among your followers. Also, make sure you deal with the body properly, before anyone finds out.
The second solution that is more appropriate for a cult is sacrifice/ascension. These are Rituals unlocked early in the game and allow you to deal with dissenters in a way that is approved by the other followers.
