Money is the most important feature in Coral Island since it allows players to buy crops and animals, get farm upgrades, and upgrade their equipment.
If you’re just starting in Coral Island, before making money, consider checking out our guide on the best tips and tricks for beginners in the game.
However, making money is no easy task. There are many ways to make money in Coral Island, but not all of them are efficient.
In this guide, I will go through the best ways to make money in Coral Island to help you progress in the game faster.
Catch Bugs & Fish

Bug catching and fishing are probably the most energy-efficient ways of making money. For fishing, simply take your fishing rod in any body of water and start fishing. No bait or anything else is needed.
As for bug catching, there are two options. First, players can simply roam around the island and catch any bugs they find.
Second, players can use a hoe to dig the ground. When digging, there’s a chance for an insect to spawn. Choose a fairly open area and keep digging and catching any bugs that come up.
Within only a day, you can make around 1.500 coins or more, depending on your energy and how lucky you get.
Keep in mind that the first bug you catch of each species should be donated to the museum. Anything after that can be sold.
Mine Gems
Similar to other farming games, mining is one of the most profitable tasks. Other than stones and ores, players will get a solid amount of gems while mining.
The first copy of each gem should be donated to the museum, but anything after that can be sold for money.
Most gems have solid selling prices, between 100-150 for early-game gems. For extra money, you can also consider selling the ores directly.
Farm Vegetables
Farming is the most profitable activity in Coral Island but it requires waiting multiple days for the crops to grow.
Consider checking out our spring items guide to plant the most profitable crops in Coral Island and make some solid money.
In addition, consider using fertilizers to improve your crops’ quality and focus on upgrading your mastery points for some useful extra traits.
Farm Flowers & Make Honey
While farming vegetables is a profitable choice, farming flowers and turning them into honey via beehives is where the money is at.
The only drawback here is that beehives are fairly expensive to craft and each of them takes a long time to produce honey. It’s an extremely profitable but slow option.
Conclusion
These are some of the best ways to make money in Coral Island. Choose your favorite activity, or combine all of them to fund your island farm and upgrade your tools and housing.
However, this shouldn’t limit your activities to only the most profitable ones. Diving, foraging, and overall exploring can also yield some solid money. The most important thing is enjoying the game and doing an activity that’s fun.
