Cobblemon: How to Get Fossil Pokemon

Throughout the many generations, fossil Pokemon are a mainstay in the Pokemon series.

As of version 1.3.1 the only fossils integrated into the game are the three fossils from generation 1. It is stated that more fossil Pokemon will be implemented into the game in the future. In this guide, I will go over how to get the three fossil Pokemon, in Cobblemon.

To find the three fossil Pokemon, you will need to look in Lush biomes, especially when it is raining, to increase your chances.

Cobblemon: How to Get Omanyte

Omanyte originally was revived from the Helix fossil. It is a Rock/Water type Pokemon, and it evolves in Omastar at a high enough level. If the mod follows Pokemon closely then you will have an Omastar around level 40.

Players that want to find an Omanyte for themselves, will have to look at Lush biomes at any time of day.

Players will have a better chance of finding one when it’s raining. Look for them scuttling around on land or splashing in shallow waters.

Unfortunately, Omanyte is a pretty rare Pokemon to find, so it may take some time for players.

Omastar will be a physically bulky Special attacker, with a good enough Speed stat.

Cobblemon: How to Get Kabuto

Kabuto originally was revived from the Dome fossil. It is a Rock/Water type Pokemon, and it evolves in Kabutops at a high enough level. If the mod follows Pokemon closely then you will have a Kabutops around level 40.

Players that want to find a Kabuto for themselves, will have to look at Lush biomes at any time of day.

Players will have a better chance of finding one when it’s raining. Look for them scuttling around on land or splashing in shallow waters.

Unfortunately, Kabuto much like its counterpart Omanyte, is also a pretty rare Pokemon to find, so it may take some time for players.

Kabutops will be a physically tanky Attacker, with great a great Speed stat.

Cobblemon: How to Get Aerodactyl

Aerodactyl originally was revived from the Old Amber. It is a Rock/Flying type Pokemon, and it doesn’t evolve into anything.

Players that want to find an Aerodactyl for themselves, will have to look at Lush biomes at any time of day.

Weather will not be a factor that affects Aerodactyl’s spawn rate.

Unfortunately, even though Aerodactyl follows the other fossil rare spawn rates. While looking you won’t miss it due to its massive size compared to other Pokémon, so that is a plus for players that really want to catch one.

Aerodactyl will be an exceptionally fast, physical Attacker for players’ teams.

Final Thoughts

Fossil Pokemon are fan favorites and players, much like myself love what each one can bring to the team.

Cobblemon with each new updated version introduces more and more Pokemon. Seeing how later generations introduced more unique, and strong fossils, playing with the ones we already have can make you appreciate them even more.

Fossils aren’t the only Pokemon players will be able to use in their adventure. For a more informed look into what the game has to offer, check out the Cobblemon list, with all the Pokemon in this Minecraft mod.

With a lot of Pokemon already in the game, you will be able to craft many unique teams, but each player has their favorites. Let us know in the comments down below, which fossil Pokemon is your favorite, and which one are you excited to see added to the mod.
