From the moment you first hear that crawling sound in the walls, the Beast becomes your constant, unwanted companion.
It never stops. It never gets tired.
And for most of the game, you can’t do a thing about it except run, hide, and try not to breathe too loud. But there is a way to kill it, and knowing how, and when, makes a real difference to how your playthrough ends.

How to Avoid the Monster in Amnesia The Bunker
The Beast operates almost entirely on sound. Every action you take generates noise: running, breaking doors, winding your flashlight, even bumping into a random object you didn’t notice.
This means the single best thing you can do throughout your entire playthrough is move slowly and think before you act, keeping quiet as much as possible.
Keeping the generator running will help you greatly as the monster is afraid of the light and you won’t have to charge your flashlight as much and make noise.
One useful tip to make your life easier is to visit the opposite area from the one you want to explore and make noise on purpose there.
This will attract the Beast to this location and you’ll be able to go back slowly to the first area and explore undisturbed, as long as you don’t make much noise.
Another tip is to use the hiding spots around the map. You can hide almost anywhere, including closets (without shelves), under tables, or in any corner behind objects (as long as there are enough objects to fully cover you).
Lastly, the best but most expensive way to avoid the Beast in Amnesia The Bunker is by shooting it or throwing a grenade/flare. With one or two bullets, the monster will instantly go back into hiding.

Can you Kill the Monster in Amnesia The Bunker?
While exploring the bunker and in random encounters, you cannot kill the monster in Amnesia The Bunker. However, you have a chance to kill it during the ending.
After collecting the dynamite and the detonator handle, proceed to blow up the exit to the bunker.
This drops you into a large underground cavern filled with stone structures and bridges suspended over a bottomless pit. This area is randomized on every playthrough, so don’t expect the same layout twice.
How to Kill the Beast (Ending 2)
To get the kill ending and unlock the “Beast Slayer” achievement, you need to lure the Beast onto one of the wooden bridges and destroy it while the Beast is standing on it.
In order to do this, you will also need the rabbit toy. If you picked it up from the altar in the Roman Tunnels, throw the rabbit near the middle of a wooden bridge and the Beast will stop in its tracks to look at it, which gives you a clean window to throw a grenade and blow the bridge.
The Beast falls into the abyss, and that’s the end of it.
If you don’t have the rabbit, the timing gets a bit harder. You’ll need to throw the grenade while the Beast is roughly in the middle of the bridge – it might take a couple of attempts.
An alternative I found in my playthrough is to shoot the wooden boards directly with the shotgun, which can also collapse the bridge, though it requires good positioning.
After the Beast falls, you’re free to cross to the other side and leave the bunker.
Wrapping up
To summarize: you cannot kill the Beast during the main game, but you can send it into the abyss during the finale by luring it onto a wooden bridge and blowing it up.
In earlier stages of the game, you’ll need to avoid the monster by making as little noise as possible and using any firearms available.
