One of the newly introduced classes in Brotato during the 1.0 update is the Apprentice, which is considered the best scaling class in the game and thus an ideal option for endless runs.
This class gains extra stats when it levels up. Combined with the right scaling weapons and proper items, you’ll be able to clear Difficulty 5 runs consistently.
In this guide, I will showcase the best Apprentice build in Brotato by focusing on the best weapons and upgrades for this character.

Keep in mind that you can unlock the Apprentice by reaching Level 20.
Best Weapon for Apprentice in Brotato
The Apprentice is, above all, a scaling character that will shine during the later stages of a run. Based on that, the best weapon for the Apprentice is the Ghost Flint which is a scaling weapon.
Specifically, the Ghost Flint will grant you +1 Attack Speed for every 20 enemies killed during a wave with it. Thus, if you can start stacking it early on, you’ll have a lot of bonus Attack Speed in the late game.
The main disadvantage of the Ghost Flint is that you have to build a lot of damage for it to become strong. However, since the Apprentice passively gains +2 Melee Damage on every level up, you won’t have to worry about it as much.
Other great weapon choices include the Ghost Axe and the Ghost Scepter, which increase Damage and HP respectively when you level up.
While you can focus on only one of the Ghost Weapons, you can also use all three of them in the same build and start scaling all three stats.
Best Upgrades for Apprentice in Brotato
In terms of upgrades, you want to focus on what you’re missing based on which Ghost weapons you have. Thus, focus on Damage, Attack Speed, and HP.
Especially focus on HP as your max HP will go down by 2 every time you level up.
Secondary useful stats include Life Steal and any Melee/Ranged Damage you can get (since you have both melee and ranged weapons with all three ghost weapons).
Best Build for Apprentice in Brotato
Overall, the best build for the Apprentice focuses on getting as many Ghost weapons early on as possible and stacking their stat upgrades. Combined with his passive, after a few levels, the Apprentice will start gaining immense power.
If you can manage to survive through the first few waves, you’ll be able to cruise through the rest of the run even in difficulty 5.
Just make sure to always check your HP as the Apprentice’s passive will leave your HP low enough and one Ghost Scepter won’t be enough to make up for it. With some HP items though and proper dodging, you will be fine.
Wrapping up
In conclusion, this is the best Apprentice build in Brotato. For this character, aim for any (or all) Ghost weapons as their scaling stats combined with your passive will make you an end-game menace after you level up enough.
The hardest part is making it through the first few waves, as you’ll be significantly underpowered. Additionally, don’t forget to always check your HP as your passive will reduce it slightly every so often.
