Using combos is the best way to deal exceptionally high damage in short periods of time. Especially when facing tough enemies like trolls or bosses, the best spell combos will allow you to wrap up the fight much faster.
Let’s see the five spell combos in Hogwarts Legacy.
1. Glacius + Any Damage Spell
While Glacius deals no damage on its own, it is considered one of the strongest spells in the game. This is because it amplifies the damage dealt by the next spell.
Thus, combining Glacius with any of the red damage spells will allow players to even one-shot enemies. My personal preference is Glacius + Diffindo, which can one-shot spiders and other enemies with ease.
The best part is that this combo works on bosses and large enemies too, even though Glacius doesn’t freeze them.
2. Transformation + Depulso
Transformation is an amazing spell on its own as it turns enemies into barrels, boxes, and other harmless objects. Combining it with Depulso allows players to then launch those objects into walls and smash them to pieces.
Keep in mind that this only works on smaller enemies. Nevertheless, it’s a great way to one-shot an enemy at the start of the fight.
3. Disillusionment + Petrificus Totalus
Disillusionment turns the player invisible and allows them to sneak behind enemies. Make sure to upgrade your Stealth talents to reduce the enemies’ detection range.
Then, sneak behind them and use Petrificus Totalus to assassinate them. Most enemies will die instantly, while larger enemies will take a significant amount of damage.
Additionally, after fully upgrading the Stealth talents, Petrificus Totalus will deal AoE damage, which allows you to take down multiple enemies that are stacked together with one move.
4. Levioso + Accio + Depulso
If you’re looking for a long combo that allows you to juggle enemies, this is one of the most fun ones. Use Levioso to lift an enemy in the air, follow with some basic cast attacks, then Accio to pull them toward you.
Continue the combo with more basic cast attacks and end with Depulso, ideally smashing the enemy on a wall.
Alternatively, after Accio, players can also follow with Incendio for increased fire damage.
5. Glacius + Petrificus Totalus
Did you know that you can cast Petrificus Totalus on an enemy that has spotted you during combat? This can be done if it’s the last enemy alive and after using Glacius.
Specifically, when there is only one enemy alive, freeze them with Glacius and walk behind them to use Petrificus Totalus and one-shot them.
And that’s all. Equip as many of these combos as you can, and you’ll easily take down hordes of enemies and bosses alike.
