Best Dual Character Combinations in Ball x Pit

You won’t be sending your Ball x Pit characters in solo runs for too long before you’ll be able to bring in a second character and start each run with two instead of one.

But with 16 available characters to choose from, finding the perfect pair might require a lot more testing than you’re willing to put in. That’s what I am here to help you with: the absolute best character combinations in the game, combos that offer perfect synergy and huge in-game advantages from the beginning.

IMPORTANT: To get the most out of these character combinations, try to max-level your Jeweler and Matchmaker, as each increases the starting level of a character’s ball. If you start with both at level 3, you’re basically getting a top-tier evolution from the start!

With these in mind, let’s check out the top character combos now!

The Itchy Finger and The Repentant

itchy finger repentant

This is THE best combo right now – it has perfect synergy, and if each character starts with a level 3 ball, you’ll get almost instant access to the Frozen Flame evolution, which is one of the top ones in the game right now.

But that’s not all the synergy that’s happening! The fast shooting of the Itchy Finger combines flawlessly with the increased damage of the bouncing balls from the Repentant.

The mastery here comes from making your balls bounce in between enemies without hitting walls, to maximize damage.

Great evolutions for this combo include Magma, Sandstorm and Vampire Lord, while passives to go for include Archer’s Effigy, Frozen Spike or the Healer’s Effigy if you don’t choose balls that heal you.

The Makeshift Sisyphus & The Juggler

Makeshift Sysyfus. and Juggler

Yes, a combo that might not be obvious at first. However, it can become extremely strong, even though there are no direct Earthquake and Lightning evolutions to get.

But as you progress and collect more balls, you can go for any Holy Laser Combos to simply destroy each run. It is true, this combo requires a bit of luck and the correct item drops, but if you do get even some, it’s a winner.

As far as evolutions go, apart from the Holy Laser mentioned above, Storm, Lovestruck or other AoE Boosters work well.

The Physicist and The Repentant

the physicist the-repentant

A solid combo that requires precise movement, but which gives you plenty of control over the battlefield. The perfect synergy here doesn’t come from the starting balls of each character, but from their unique play – The Physicist draws balls toward the back wall, while the Repentant gives bounces them back when they hit it.

This means that positioning is important for taking those front enemies, but once you master it, you will have amazing results. This also pairs extremely well with Assassin, it makes it easier to get the Holy Laser, but also evolutions like Shotgun (requires different balls, so adjust your strategy) or Sandstorm.

The Makeshift Sisyphus and The Empty Nester

makeshift the-empty-nester

This is not a combo for those who love filling the screen with baby balls, but a great one for those who want to specialize in massive damage, even though early on you will have to aim your shots carefully to negate the reduced damage you get from the extra ball.

But once you get a few evolutions going and get those AoEs stacking, you will easily clean the screen each time you play.

The Shieldbearer and The Spendthrift

Another great combo that works for more offensive, active plays, as you will have to keep the Shieldbearer as close to the enemies (or at least the bouncing balls) as possible, in order to bounce them off the shield for the extra damage.

This requires a bit of playing and mastering, since the Spendthrift throws the balls away first, but once you get the dual effect in place (some balls bouncing off enemies at the back, some controlled by the Shieldbearer at the front), it works really well.

If you want to go for an easier combo – but almost equally powerful – replace The Spendthrift with the Itchy finger. This makes aiming and bouncing easier from the beginning.

Wrapping up

These are my favorite combos, but I am sure there are others that work well. If you found an OP one that’s not listed above, let us all know by commenting below – and please share as many details as possible, especially the best balls/evolutions you made it work best with.
