Steal a Brainrot Halloween/Frightrot Event Guide: Trick or Treat, Graveyard, Spooky Lucky Block & More

Steal a Brainrot just got bigger and better (and a bit spookier), just in time for the Halloween celebrations this year. A major update was released recently, bringing in plenty of new elements that I will detail in today’s article so you can be among the first to enjoy them (and know what to expect).

The Halloween season update aka the Frighrot Event is packed with limited-time rewards, spooky mini-events, and exclusive Brainrots. And, since it’s Halloween, you will be able to collect candies and even spawn the powerful Spooky Lucky Block.

I am sure you’re curious, so let’s jump right in – there’s a lot to learn!

How the Halloween Event Works

The Halloween update adds two alternating mini-events that run every two hours:

  • Trick or Treat
  • Graveyard Event

Both events are your primary ways to collect Candy Corn (aka Candies or Candy), which acts as the event currency. These candies can later be exchanged to spawn Spooky Lucky Blocks, the only source of Halloween-themed Brainrots.

Keep an eye out for in-game notifications announcing when each event begins. Since they alternate every two hours, you’ll always have a new opportunity to earn more candy during your session and, as always, the more you play, the better your chances of quickly getting the new Brainrots.

Speaking of which…

New Brainrots brought in by the Halloween update

The Frighrot update adds several limited-time Brainrots that you can only obtain during this Halloween event. I am listing the main ones below with some extra details (but I have them all at the bottom too):

Trickolino

How to unlock: You can encounter Trickolino by knocking on doors (reportedly – I haven’t seen him this way) or from the Spooky Lucky Block.

Trickolino represents a lower-tier Brainrot with small income/second.

Pot Pumpkin

How to unlock: An alternative to the Pot Hotspot, Pot Pumpkin can be unlocked by digging graves in the Grave Digger Event.

Noo my Candy

How to unlock: Noo my Candy can only be unlocked through the Spooky Lucky Block. This is one of the rarest spawns in the entire event.

La Casa Boo

How to unlock: As a roll from the Spooky Lucky Block. This is one of the main stars of the event.

Cappuccino Clowino (Brainrot God)

How to unlock: Cappuccino Clowino is a secret unlockable Brainrot that can only be obtained through the Spooky Lucky Block. At the moment, little is known about it.

Trick or Treat Event

During the Trick or Treat event, houses appear all over the map, usually near player bases. Approach any door and press E to knock. When you do, a Brainrot character will appear and there are two possible outcomes:

  1. Treat – You’ll receive candy corn from the Brainrot.
  2. Trick – The Brainrot punches you and sends you flying, with no reward.

The trick animation works similarly to getting slapped by standard slap gear, so it’s both funny and mildly annoying. Usually, you will receive a reward instead of being tricked, and that ranges from 20 Candy Corn to 50 Candy.

Graveyard Event

This time, instead of knocking on doors, you’ll grab a shovel and start digging.

Graves spawn across multiple map locations. Approach one, use your shovel, and a quick mini-game begins. Press LMB repeatedly to fill a progress bar. Once it’s complete, you’ll dig up candies as your reward.

The rewards are the same as in the case of the Trick or Treat event – between 20-50 per grave – so we can’t say that either is the “best” way to get more candy in Steal a Brainrot. Being active is the only key.

How to Get the Spooky Lucky Block

spooky lucky block

The candies you’ve collected will be put to great use, as they are used to spawn the new special block in the game, the Spooky Lucky Block.

Here’s how to get one:

  1. Collect 500 Candies.
  2. Go to the center area near the shop. You’ll see a Spawn Spooky Lucky Block option.
  3. Use the option to add it to the spawn queue.
  4. Alternatively, during the Admin Abuse event, you can also get it by paying $350 million to purchase it.

After getting it, you can open the block at your base to reveal one of several special Halloween Brainrots, including the new ones listed above. Here’s what you can find inside:

  • La Casa Boo
  • Jackorilla
  • Mummy Ambalabu
  • Cappuccino Clownino
  • Telemorte
  • Pumpkini Spyderini
  • Trickolino
  • Los Spooky Combinasionas
