Bayonetta 3 will raise a lot of eyebrows with the spectacular ending to its main story, which is boosted further by the action-filled battle with the final boss.
Bayonetta fights Singularity in the final battle of the story campaign and boy, was it filled with mind-boggling twists and edge-of-the-seat suspense!
So, without waiting any further, let’s take the battle to Singularity and take him down together!
How to Beat the Final Boss in Bayonetta 3?
The Final Boss, Singularity, is the primary antagonist in Bayonetta 3 and created the Homunculi present in the gane.
At the end of the last chapter, Chapter 14, Bayonetta will confront Singularity for the final boss fight, where he’ll be in the disguise of Sigurd.
He turns into different monsters over the course of this battle to take Bayonetta down, but we won’t be making it that easy!
Singularity Chaos
For the first phase of the battle, Singularity turns into an immense beast-like creature with a green aura.
In response to that, Bayonetta chants the forbidden spell and performs the Deadly Sin to summon the strongest version of the Infernal Demon, Sin Gomorrah.
In order to take down Singularity in this verse, it’s important to make the right choices when it comes to the actions of Gomorrah.
There’s no need to use the Dash action and spam the Shoot button to fire at the monster Singularity.
Whenever Singularity is up close, hit the Block button when you’re about to be attacked. This is quite important to reduce the amount of health Gomorrah is losing.
During the short interval when Singularity isn’t attacking, hit the Slam and Bite buttons to deal further damage.
Spam the Slam button for combo attacks and at one point, you’ll have the option to summon the Umbran Climax.
Gomorrah will let out a loud roar and let out a deadly ray of fire, which will be countered by Singularity.
Bayonetta performs yet another Deadly Sin ritual, but this time summons Queen Butterfly, the strongest and truest version of Madama Butterfly.
Combined with Gomorrah’s fire, Queen Butterfly’s magic fireball destroys Singularity out of the world.
Singularity Balance
In the second verse of the final boss fight, Bayonetta flies out of the world alone to finish off Singularity. He has come back in a different and more humanoid form than the previous monster that he turned into.
The weapons you equip in this fight is up-to you and based on how you’d like to fight.
I’d recommend equipping Abracadabra as one of your weapons, as the Cadabra can help you move extremely swiftly while inflicting heavy damage.
Mictlantecuhtli’s thunderous damage during Demon Masquerade can also come in handy to take down Singularity’s Homunculi.
The initial attack of Singularity can be countered with the help of Tartarus, which is unlocked at the end of Chpater 12.
The battle in this verse depends a lot on the intensity of combos that you can create.
The more combos you can create to deal damage on Singularity, the better it is. But, do make sure you dodge his attacks that are made after certain intervals.
During the Demon Masquerade, make use of the powers of Madama Butterfly to counter the Homunculus summoned by Singularity.
When the opportunity comes to summon the Umbran Climax again, make sure you go for it and gain a considerable increase in damage dealt.
However, after that, Singularity summons two more Homunculi that needs to be countered in a similar manner as well. Staying consistent with your combo attacks and dodging attacks at the right time is the key to eliminating all the enemies.
As the HP of Singularity diminishes, the final scene is one of the most iconic ones in the game. Several Bayonetta come together at one instance and take the attack to Singularity to completely take him out.
It’s made even more intense with the short appearance of Jeanne in the battle, when she intervenes Singularity’s attack. Bayonetta and Jeanne launches a deadly combo together at Singularity, sending him back to the world.
But, Singularity wasn’t done just yet!
Singularity Definition
In the final verse, Singularity transforms to yet another form, arguably the strongest of all the three forms.
Bayonetta calls for Gomorrah yet again at the start. However, Singularity has other plans.
Singularity makes use of his dimension-altering powers to create a dimension with vanishing platforms.
While this may make it difficult to initiate your attacks, try to create as many combos as you can, preferably with the Cadabra of Abracadabra.
Mictlantecuhtli’s Thunderous Bolt can deal huge amounts of damage during Demon Masquerade as well.
Madama Buttefly can help glide when there are no platforms and it’s all empty below.
Unfortunately, no matter how much you cause, Singularity will alter the dimension yet again and this time, have Bayonetta by the throat!
While Bayonetta is on the brink of her death, Viola makes a surprise appearance to save her mother, but the Mab Dachi and her darts go in vain! But, it wasn’t done just yet!
Singularity had both Bayonetta and Viola by the throat, and just as he was about to kill Bayonetta for the second time, Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2, from the multiverse, comes in from nowhere to save the day!
They have the same outfits like they did in their respective Bayonetta games, and a different kind of nostalgia hits when you see them again.
All of them work together, with their signature weapons, to kill Singularity once and for all.
For this battle, I’d strongly recommend you to stick to the basics of the game and generate as many combo attacks as possible. That has been the key to lowering Singularity’s HP all along.
Make use of Break Free as soon as it’s available to deal further damage on Singularity.
In response to Singularity’s restraint, all the Bayonetta then fuse and combine together to generate tripled up attacks on Singularity.
However, even all Bayonetta from the multiverse isn’t enough! It did help to weaken Singularity but he still had greater power over all of them.
So, are you ready for the final twist of the story? LUKA!
Luka makes a late, funny appearance all of a sudden during one of Singularity’s attacks. And, this was the game changer!
Along with Luka turning into a Strider, your combos will deal much greater damage on Singularity. Equipping the Tartarus weapon with Abracadabra could be a good choice for this phase of the battle.
When Singularity is almost done for, you can summon the “Climax” yet again; Gomorrah makes an appearance for one last time and takes Singularity out with the purple bolt of fire, similar to the one in the first verse.
While Singularity dies with a huge blast, it also takes the life of Bayonetta, or should I say, Cereza. At the end of the main story, Cereza and Luka finally embrace each other and are both taken to the Inferno, leaving Viola behind.
This was expected, since she performed the Forbidden Spell during the Deadly Sin ritual, but it was sad, nevertheless.
Wrapping Up
It can be quite lengthy and may take some grinding to defeat the final boss in Bayonetta 3.
However, like I mentioned above, the key to defeating Singularity, and most enemies in the game, is to be consistent with your combos, while using the Demon Masquerade from time to time.
