Difficult missions can keep players stuck, and turn the fun into frustration. In this guide, I will go over the Eliminate the Enforcement Squads Mission.
I will go over the mission specifics, a build for your armored core, and then tips and tricks to make your time in the mission easier than it has been so far.
Eliminate the Enforcement Squads, is a Decision Mission that will affect the ending you will get once you complete it.
I think it needs to be said, that if you are struggling so much that your enjoyment is ruined, you should try the other decision mission. It will affect the ending, but unless you are aiming for a full completion, don’t sacrifice your enjoyment.

Armored Core 6: Armored Core Build

Before going into the mission you will want to be equipped as best as possible to take on this mission.
Here is the build, starting with the Assembly:
- R-Arm Unit: VP-66LH
- L-Arm Unit: VP-67EB
- R-Back Unit: SONGBIRDS
- L-Back Unit: HI-32: BU-TT/A
- Head: HD-012 MELANDER C3
- Core: DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG
- Arms: DF-AR-08 TIAN-QIANG
- Legs: DF-LG-08 TIAN-QIANG
- Booster: AB-J-137 KIKAKU
- FCS: FC-006 ABBOT
- Generator: VP-20S
- Expansion: PULSE ARMOR
The laser handgun (VP-66LH) is the choice for the R-Arm. It’s pretty accurate, and it deals a decent amount of damage. You can switch it out with a different option as long as you feel that it will still keep dealing a decent amount of damage.
Your main source of damage with this build is the Stun Baton (VP-67EB), and the Pulse Blade (HI-32: BU-TT/A).
The SONGBIRDS are used for a bit more damage, and to use its blast radius, but you can switch it out with something you feel more accustomed to.
For the frame of the Armored Core, I suggest the Melander, and the Tian Qiang mostly because they will allow you to take more of a beating while still offering decent movement.
If you feel confident in your dodging skills, you can use a more lightweight frame.
In the build, you want to use Kikaku, and Abbot for their melee boost, and lastly, the Pulse Armor for the expansion to increase your defensive utility.
Here is the OS Tuning of the Build:
- System Unlocks: Weapon Bay
- Core Expansions: Pulse Armor
- Attack Control: Explosive Weapons/Energy Weapons/Melle Weapons/Direct Hit Modifier
For the System Unlock, Weapon Bay will allow you to equip two main hand weapons.
For the Core Expansion, Pulse Armor with both the Install and the first Update will help with your defensive capabilities and survival rate.
Lastly, for the Attack Control, Explosive damage is taken since the build is using the Songbirds, to enhance their explosive damage. Energy Weapons is mostly used to buff the Pulse Blade (HI-32: BU-TT/A) damage.
Melee Weapons, is self-explanatory seeing how the build primarily focuses on attacking at melee range, and the most important part of the build, is the Direct Hit Modifier which increases both the accuracy of direct hits and the damage dealt.
Armored Core 6: Tips and Tricks
When you are going against the two PCA mechs, you will need to focus on one, and then move to the other. The situation you generally aim for is to stagger one with the Stun Baton, and then deal massive damage with the right shoulder cannons.
Also, keep an eye out while you focus one down, the attacks that the other will throw at you.
After you climb up the wall, and go down the corridor you will come against a door. Before opening the door make sure to use your Scan, and make a plan beforehand since the enemies will be waiting to ambush you.
After that, you will reach the boss’s room. There are three mechs that you need to destroy, before the boss attacks. Keep your distance, and use your shoulder cannon to either destroy or damage them heavily.
The boss will spawn once you pass the middle point of the platform at the bottom.
What makes this boss so annoying to deal with is the shield he has equipped. That’s why the melee weapons like the plasma blade, and the stun baton are used.
Despite the shield, you will be able to stagger him, and then deal massive damage thanks to your OS Tuning. If you struggle a little too much, make sure to go back a little, and then make a move again when you have the advantage.
Final Thoughts
Having the right build, can make challenging missions go by more smoothly, and minimize the frustrations that come with repeated failures.
