For all the achievement hunters and completionists out there, I have for you today a 100% Achievement guide for Olden Era, the most recent game in the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise.
I will not only list all the achievements below, together with their requirements (they’re all hidden otherwise), but I will also give you some advice on how to quickly get them all, especially the campaign-related ones, which require, at least in theory, multiple replays.
There are currently 22 Achievements in Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, and I am trying to list them below in the easiest unlock order. Let’s begin!
Basic Education

Complete the main tutorial. It’s quick, easy, and good even for veterans to get used to some of the mechanics.

Bachelor of Heroism
Complete all tutorial challenges. I have to admit that I had some trouble with some of these missions, so they’re great to learn (or refresh) your HoMM knowledge. I will soon have an article detailing each mission, in case you need help too.
Just One More Turn

Play a Classic game. Just start a game (Quick Start from the menu, or customize your own Classic Game) – no need to complete it, although you surely will, right?
Duel of Champions
Play a Single Hero game. Create a Custom Game and select Single Hero instead of Classic.
Welcome to the Thunderdome!
Play an Arena game. Also, like above, start a Custom Arena Mode Game.
Ariadne’s Mercy

Ensure at least one minotaur survives at the end of the Garner Hills mission.
We’re moving to campaign-related achievements, which are the majority of them at the moment.
This one can be obtained during the first mission of the Campaign. Save regularly during the mission and you should have no problems getting this one.

Lernaean Solutions

Recruit Infernal Hydras during the Into the Woods mission.
This is the second mission of the Campaign. I got this naturally while playing, the goal being to recruit Hydras from the area where they want Crystals (30 of them) to join you.
IMPORTANT: You must complete the requirements before getting to the burning castle!
Whimsical Entourage
Recruit all Kittenhorn squads during the Into the Woods mission.
This one is easy to miss if you are afraid of Kittenhorns as much as I am (they are, after all, one of the best units in Olden Era!) But in this case, you must recruit them all, also during the second mission of the Campaign.
Like the Hydras, they require Crystals, and you need 55 total to recruit all stacks.
IMPORTANT: You must recruit the first stack before getting to the burning castle!
Double Trouble

Recruit Lafiur.
Just finish Mission 2 of the Campaign and you will get it, as Lafiur always joins you.
It Fills You with Determination
Pursue and catch up with the warlock during the Burning Hearts mission.
This achievement can be obtained during Mission 3 of the Campaign. After meeting the hero with a question mark above her head (in the area surrounded by Infiltrators), follow the hero through the portal and catch up with her.

Might over Right
Defeat Old Pilgrim during the Might over Right mission.
Also during the third mission, you must battle and win against the Old Pilgrim hero located in the bottom-left corner of the map. So choose that option instead of choosing to help him. This is a difficult battle, so prepare for it!
Patience is a Virtue

Solve the mystery of the Shard of Serenity during the Neverending Conflict mission.
During Mission #4 of the Campaign, you’ll get a mission to deliver the Shard of Serenity. When you get to it through the purple portal, the game won’t let you take it.
However, if you end your turn next to the Shard, you will be able to collect it on the next day.
AcHiEvEmEnT!!!

Use the pixies’ scrolls like PROPERLY during the Neverending Conflict mission.
Also during the 4th Mission, you will meet some pixies who want you to test their scrolls. While this seems like a pointless, never-ending mission, you only have to battle 4 times, each time using a new scroll from the pixies.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you don’t delay this and you still have enemies to fight (you need 4 different fights). Also, make sure to actually equip each scroll prior to battle and use it at least once.
ALSO IMPORTANT: When you finish Mission 4, each of the two branches you can choose for Mission 5 comes with different achievements. You will have to load a save (either manually save before completing Mission 4, or load an Auto Save) and play the other branch to get all achievements.
Once Tempted, Always Rebuked

Resist the Dragonfly King’s herald during the Saving the Knight mission.
When you meet the Hive Waurm messenger during the 5th Mission of the Campaign following the Temple route (Saving the Knight), refuse to pledge to the king.

Something lingers, unfinished

Forget to fulfill your promise to the Troglodyte in the Saving the Knight mission.
When you meet the Troglodyte, accept the quest to defeat the Hydras. Then, place the Troglodyte into a Remote Foothold and leave it there. Next, defeat the Hydras before entering the portal next to them. When the mission ends, you will unlock this achievement.
Lost Knight

Recruit Valentina.
You will get this achievement by playing the campaign – either at the end of the Saving the Knight mission, or the 6th mission if you choose the Necropolis route.
NecronomiNO!

Destroy all the amplifiers in the Renegade mission.
In the sixth mission of the Temple branch (Renegade), you will be tasked to destroy 3 amplifiers (the things that keep restoring the fog of war). If you promise Thant a favor, you will only have to attack the last two (the first one can be destroyed with the item he gives you).
A Fiery Negotiation
Resist the Dragonfly King’s herald during the Deal with a Vampire mission.
This is basically the same thing as with the previous route, but you’ll need to choose the Necropolis route for this one (and the next two achievements) so you’ll need to load that save I mentioned earlier.
Noble Assistance

Recruit lord Galthran.
You will get this achievement no matter what – either during this mission, or during Mission #6 if you chose to side with the Temple instead.
Guarding the Guardian

Save an angel during the Corruption mission.
This is obtainable during mission #6 (Corruption, available if you chose the Necropolis path). Defeat each Temple faction hero at least once during this mission to unlock the access to the cage holding one of the Angels, then go there and rescue them.
Blessed be the Meek
Save all Alvarian peasants during the Alvar Diruil mission.
This is a very difficult achievement to get – I couldn’t save all the peasants during my first run, and it required optimization afterwards. If you have artifacts that give you extra movement points (or spells that do), they will come in handy.
The easiest way to do it is to prepare in advance: know that on Month 1, Week 4, Day 7, the Dragonfly King will attack. Before this, you should position all your heroes next to a village like this:
- The hero you choose to sacrifice (I chose Galthran first, but it has to be Gunnar to avoid the terrain penalty, unless you have solid artifacts) must be next to one of the two villages in Dungeon territory
- Valentina should be placed in the right side of the map, in front of the village at the bottom (also to avoid terrain penalty)
- Galthran and Lafiur in front of their corresponding terrain-villages.
As soon as you get the notice to choose who you leave behind, visit the villages and head straight to the exit. Also, make sure that the hero you choose to leave behind gets into the castle so it is attacked by the Drangonfly king.
Act I

Complete Act I of the campaign.
No matter which path you follow and what achievements you get along the way, when you complete the final mission, you get this achievement.
