Your Social Stats are a very important mechanic in Persona 3 Reload, and in this guide, I will go over, how to increase them.

Whether we are looking at Academics, Charm, or Courage, you will need to slowly raise them from Rank 1 to Rank 6.

They will affect places you can enter, and if you can start specific Social Links in the game. Most of them can be increased passively while playing, but you can also proactively increase them.

At the beginning of the game, your social stats will be at Rank 1. There will be many ways to increase those stats, but before going over them here is a quick overview of the different Ranks.

Academics: Academics affect your exam scores, and if you can pass them. Passing exams will increase all of your Social Stats, and they will also give you a boost with some Social Links. To pass the exams, you need Above Average for the first exam, Intelligent for the second exam, and Genius for the final exam. It is also needed for some Social Links.
Charm: Charm affects how your main character can respond to certain situations. More often than not, you can also be a bit more flirtatious with how you respond to certain things, and it can make certain people pay attention to you. It is also needed for some Social Links.
Courage: Courage affects some locations, and if you can gain entry or not. It is also needed for some Social Links.

Persona 3 Reload: Part-Time Jobs

Part-time jobs can help you increase your social stats, and at the same time save up quite a bit of yen to buy equipment or other necessities for when you explore Tartarus.

Let’s go over which part-time jobs can your character have.

Chagall Cafe: At the Paulownia Mall on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights you can work for 2500 Yen, and you can also boost your Charm and Courage.
Be Blue V: At the Paulownia Mall from the 23rd of July, you can work here. From Monday to Friday, it pays 3,500 yen while also giving a boost to your Academics and Charm.
Screen Shot Movie Theater: At the Port Island Station you can work in the afternoon on days you don’t have school. It pays 5,000 yen, while also giving a boost to your Academics and Courage.

These are all the part-time jobs you can have in the game.

Persona 3 Reload: School and Dorm Activities That Boost Social Stats

If you don’t want to spend your time working, or you want to do things while in school or at the dorm to also increase your Social Links, here is a list of things you can do.

School:

Studying in the library increases your Academics
Staying awake in class increases your Academics
Answering a question correctly in class increases your Charm
Getting good results in your exams increases your Charm
Visiting the Nurse’s Office the day after being in Tartarus and drinking Mr. Edogawa’s Concoctions increases your Charm.

Dorm:

Studying at home when you don’t have school increases your Academics
The week before your exams you can increase your Academics if you study with your friends at the dorm.
The night before your exams you can greatly increase your Academics if you study with your friends at the dorm.
You can buy different PC games from the Net Cafe in the Iwatodai Station to increase your Academics, Charm, or Courage.
From June 16th you can do activities with S.E.E.S. members, and depending on which member you spend your time with, a different Social Stat will increase. You will also gain Social Link points with some of the members.
From August 10th to August 15th during Summer School week, you will get extra Academics points.

Persona 3 Reload: Mall Activities That Boost Social Stats

Outside of school, and the dorm, you can also do a lot of things while exploring the different malls to increase your Social Stats.

These vary from eating out to watching movies and even playing arcade games. You can pick and choose which ones you think are the most worth it for the Social Stat you want to improve.

Paulownia Mall

Here are all the activities you can do in the Paulownia Mall.

Singing Karaoke at the Mandragora increases your Courage, at the cost of 800 yen.
On Mondays and Thursdays, you can play the Print Club arcade game to increase your Charm, at the cost of 1.5000 yen.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, you can play the Horror House arcade game to increase your Courage, at the cost of 3.000 yen.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, you can play the Quiz Game arcade game to increase your Academics, at the cost of 1.500 yen.
Drinking Pheremone Coffee at Cafe Chagall increases your Charm, at a cost of 800 yen.

Iwatodai Station

Here are all the activities you can do in the Iwatodai Station.

Eating Pork Ramen at Hagakure Ramen’s increases your Charm, at the cost of 900 yen.
Eating the Prodigy Platter at Wakatsu Kitchen increases your Academics, at the cost of 680 yen.
Eating the Mystery Burger at Wilduck Burger increases your Courage, at the cost of 1.000 yen.
Doing the Big Eater Challenge at Wilduck Burger increases all your Social Stats when you complete it. It is available every night except Thursday at the cost of 1.800 yen. To complete it you will need to pick these three answers “Look away from the burgers”, “Eat without stopping”, and “Imagine something sour”.

Port Island Station

Depending on which day you go to the cinema, you will be able to see a different movie which increases a different Social Stat.

On Mondays and Thursdays, if you go to watch a movie it will increase your Academics stat, at the cost of 1.500 yen.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, if you go to watch a movie it will increase your Charm stat, at the cost of 1.500 yen.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, if you go to watch a movie it will increase your Courage stat, at the cost of 1.500 yen.

Having a variety of side activities players can do makes the grind of the Social Stats faster and much more fun to do. If you manage your time correctly, you will be able to experience many different things, while also seeing everything the game has to offer.
