The Medic is a support character in Yet Another Zombie Survivors that offers amazing healing passive abilities that will help keep your team alive.
The best build for the Medic involves maxing all her abilities while skipping weapon upgrades at least for the early game.
In this guide, I will showcase the best Medic build in Yet Another Zombie Survivors focused on her best abilities to level up, the best weapon to choose, and the best teammates for this character.
For a more general overview of characters, check out our character tier list in YAZS.
Medic Abilities Explained in Yet Another Zombie Survivors
The Medic has three abilities in YAZS:
- Transplantology – Gain 5% Life Steal for three seconds every 45 seconds (leveling up reduces cooldown).
- PHD – Increase Health Regeneration by 2.0 (+2.0 per level, up to 10).
- Stimpack – Increase Movement Speed and Fire Rate by 25% for three seconds every 25 seconds (leveling up reduces cooldown).
Overall, each of the Medic’s abilities is useful for your team to help you survive longer. These are great for both Hardcore and Endless mode, especially if you already have the Health Regeneration upgrade.
However, these abilities are helpful only in the mid to late stages of a run, when you have enough damage to benefit from the Life Steal bonus. Due to that, I recommend not starting a run with the Medic but only picking her up as a third character.
If you want to level her up, you can start with her but make sure to recruit another squad member as soon as possible and focus on leveling them up.
Best Medic Weapons
The Medic has four weapon options in YAZS:
- Pistol – Classic Pistol, similar to the SWAT.
- Syringe Pistol – This pistol shoots a Syringe that explodes and deals damage over time.
- Freezing Flask – Deals damage and slows enemies and bosses.
- Antidote Flask – Deals damage over time.
While the Medic has some of the best abilities in the game, she also has the worst weapons overall.
The Pistol, Syringe Pistol, and Antidote Flask are borderline useless for killing zombies, while the Freezing Flask is average at best due to the slow.
At the end of every run, you’ll see the Medic killing 10x fewer enemies compared to your other squad members regardless of the weapon you choose.
Thus, I recommend avoiding upgrading your weapon completely until the final stages of the game where the Freezing Flask can be helpful.
Best Medic Team in Yet Another Zombie Survivors
The best team for the Medic in Yet Another Zombie Survivors involves using the Medic, the Engineer, and the Ghost.
Start with the Engineer or the Ghost and focus on upgrading their weapons (upgrade Engineer to Tesla only as the other upgrades aren’t worth it).
Then, focus on the Electric Shield ability of the Engineer and the Shuriken/Kunai/Protocol: Critical abilities for the Ghost.
After maxing them out, wait until you have Electric Shield up and just run through enemies. If Protocol: Critical and Transplantology are active, you’ll be one shooting enemies and healing to full HP within seconds.
For bosses, the high fire rate from Stimpack combined with the Medic’s Tesla and the Ghost’s Thousand Cuts Katana will be everything you need.

Wrapping up the Best Medic Build
To sum up everything you need to know about the best Medic build in Yet Another Zombie Survivors, focus on upgrading her abilities only and using her as a third character.
Avoid upgrading her weapons until the very late game as they are exceptionally weak and you’ll be good to go.
