During this quest, Clive and Jill will return to Eastpool to uncover a tragic event that occurred. While I won’t spoil the quest, completing it will allow you to craft the Flametongue Sword in The Hideaway.

This sword will offer a solid 180 Attack Damage and Stagger Damage.

Unlocking the crafting recipe is only the first step as you’ll also need to collect various materials. Specifically, to craft the Flametongue Sword in Final Fantasy 16, you will need to collect the following items:

  • 1x Stormcry
  • 1x Fire Shard
  • 1x Meteorite

To unlock Stormcry in FF16, you’ll need to defeat Garuda and use the Wind Shard.

As for how to get the Fire Shard, defeat Ifrit in the “Buried Memories” main story quest. In this quest, you’ll also be able to unlock and use Limit Break for the first time.
