To find Phantom Ganon in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, players will need to find and defeat certain monsters known as Gloom Hands/Gloom Spawns.
These appear in certain locations in groups of five and players will need to defeat all five quickly to spawn Phantom Ganon after.

Defeating all five Gloom Hands summons Phantom Ganon. Specifically, there are three variations of Phantom Ganon, based on the weapon he’s wielding:
- Sword Phantom Ganon

- Club Phantom Ganon

How to Defeat Phantom Ganon in Zelda TotK
To beat Phantom Ganon in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, players will need to be aware of his moves.
First, his charge and normal attacks can be dodged, blocked, or parried. Then, players are able to follow up with a Flurry Rush or simply melee attacks to deal significant damage.
However, you should be aware of the Gloom field that follows Phantom Ganon around. Make sure to equip armor with Gloom resistance, or bring Sundelion Dishes.
When Phantom Ganon winds up his sword, move back. He does a rapid spin attack that can’t be blocked or parried. This works similarly with other weapon variations. There is a certain spin attack in all Phantom Ganon variations that can only be dodged.
And that’s all. Try to get perfect dodges and follow up with a Flurry Rush to take down Phantom Ganon with ease.
Phantom Ganon Drop Rewards
In terms of drops, defeating Phantom Ganon can drop one of the following items:
- Dark Clump
- Demon King’s Bow
- Gloom Spear
- Gloom Sword
Also, defeating the Phantom Ganon at Deku Tree Chasm will drop the Master Sword, which is considered one of the best weapons in Zelda TotK.
