While exploring the different islands in Dredge, you will come upon Four Robed figures. Once you talk to them, they will start a timed pursuit that will require the players to run around and find the fish they desire.
In this guide, I will show off the location of all four Hooded Figures in Dredge, and the requirements in all stages of the individual pursuits.
As you are going about your way to complete the game, you will need to find, and catch Aberrations. Check out our guide on all the Aberrations in Dredge, and some tips and tricks to help you out when you try to catch them.
Dredge: Important Information Before Starting the Pursuit
There are four Robed Figures scattered throughout the map. They will all ask for three fish and will give a book upon completing their pursuit.
However, this is a timed pursuit. If you take too long to deliver them the fish they asked for the Hooded Figures will pass away. The pursuit will still be counted as completed, but the players will miss out on the rewards.
The timer doesn’t start until you interact with them, so you can collect all three fish before talking to them, or be confident that you have a ship upgraded enough to make the trip back and forth in the time you are given.
I would also recommend completing a Robed Figure’s request first before taking on another request. It is in your best interest to complete the quest and receive the rewards, as soon as possible.
There are 4 Dredge Hooded Figures in total. I will provide a detailed list below that details each of the Robed Figure’s objectives, coordinates, rewards, and what you need to complete them.
Dredge: Blue Hooded Figure Pursuit
The Blue Robed Figure is in the M7 square of the map, and he will ask for three fishes to be caught.
- Blue Mackerel – Can be caught using a Coastal Rod or Trawl in The Marrows during the day.
- Tiger Mackerel – Can be caught using a Coastal Rod or Trawl in Gale Cliffs during the day.
- Snake Mackerel – Can be caught using a Coastal Rod or Trawl in Devil’s Spine during the day or night.
Once you bring him back all the fish back, he will reward you with the book Haggling and Bartering: A Guide.
Haggling and Bartering: A Guide: 5% increased sell prices, and 5% reduced buy prices
Dredge: Red Hooded Figure Pursuit
The Red Robed Figure is in the L14 square of the map, and he will ask for three fishes to be caught.
- Cusk Eel – Can be caught using a Volcanic Rod or Trawl in Devil’s Spine during the night.
- Sailfish – Can be caught using an Oceanic Rod or Trawl in The Marrows during the day.
- Frilled Shark – Can be caught using a Volcanic Rod in Devil’s Spine during the day or night.
Once you bring him back all the fish back, he will reward you with the book Nautical Engineering.
Nautical Engineering: Equipment types that use durability, will lose it 15% slower.
Dredge: Violet/Purple Hooded Figure Pursuit
The Violet/Purple Robed Figure is in the E9 square of the map, and he will ask for three fishes to be caught.
- Tarpon – Can be caught using a Shallow Rod or Trawl in Twisted Strand during the day or night.
- Horseshoe Crab – Can be caught using a Crab Pot in Twisted Strand during the day or night.
- Barreleye – Can be caught using an Abyssal Rod in Stellar Basin during the day or night.
Once you bring him back all the fish back, he will reward you with the book Pushing the Limit: Engines.
Pushing the Limit: Engines: Engines provide +7.5% more movement speed than listed.
Dredge: Gold Hooded Figure Pursuit
The Gold Robed Figure is in the K2 square of the map, and he will ask for three fishes to be caught.
- Red Snapper – Can be caught using a Coastal Rod or Trawl in Stellar Basin during the day.
- Fangtooth – Can be caught using an Abyssal Rod in Stellar Basin during the day or night.
- Blue Crab – Can be caught using a Crab Pot in Stellar Basin during the day or night.
Once you bring him back all the fish back, he will reward you with the book Advanced Fishing.
Advanced Fishing: Rods will reel fish in 15% more effectively
Final Thoughts
The four Hooded Figure pursuits are a few of the more stressful pursuits in the game, but when players are armed with knowledge, nothing will stand in their way.
Use all the information that I provided you to meet them with all the fish already in your cargo, or if you want to just know where to look, and try to win the fight against the clock.
