The Cross is a holy weapon in Sons of the Forest with a very unique effect on certain monsters.
Players can get the Cross by visiting two caves in the game, and they can use it to deal with certain monsters during the final stages of the story.

How to Get the Cross in Sons of the Forest
There are two locations to get the Cross in Sons of the Forest, one on the west side of the island, and one on the west.
- The first location is inside a cave on the west side of the island, near the starting area. This cave has no specific requirements and players can get there at any point and collect the Cross. Players can also expect to find the Rope Gun, Explosives, Tarp, Batteries, and Vodka Bottles there. Keep in mind that this cave is guarded by multiple mutants.
- The second location is on the east side of the island and it’s an end-game bunker. It requires having the VIP Keycard. This is also the bunker where the players will need to use the Cross. For more details on this bunker, keep reading below.
As the Cross doesn’t have durability, you won’t need more than one so choose whichever location you can access easier.
But why do you need the Cross? Let’s see.
How to Use the Cross in Sons of the Forest
During the early game, the Cross is practically useless. You can’t use it in any way and it’s simply sitting in your inventory.
However, during the end-game, the Cross becomes an essential weapon and you won’t be able to progress without it.
*Spoiler Alert*
Specifically, the second Cross location is a bunker on the east side of the map that requires the VIP keycard. This is known as the Final Bunker, and it includes important story elements.
While you’ve been facing mutants so far, this bunker will include a new type of enemy: demons.
The Cross will be the best weapon to deal with these demons, as it will set them on fire.
