In Hogwarts Legacy, players have the opportunity to visit one of the most iconic locations from the Harry Potter movies: the prison of Azkaban.
To go to Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy, players will have to start and progress the Hufflepuff house-exclusive quest ‘Prisoner of Love’ which starts with talking to the portrait of Eldritch Diggory.
Similar to Azkaban, there are various exclusive quests in the game that players can miss either due to their house or due to progressing with the main story too quickly.
In this guide, I will explain how to go to Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy, while also showcasing what to expect from this quest for players who can’t play it due to being in a different house.
How to Visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy
The Azkaban quest is exclusive only to those who are in the Hufflepuff house. Unfortunately, there is no way to visit Azkaban as a Gryffindor, Slytherin, or Ravenclaw student.
The quest is the ‘Prisoner of Love’ and it begins early in the story when players are tasked with interacting with the portrait of Eldrich Diggory. Afterward, players will have to seek Helen Thistlewood in Upper Hogsfield.
After a long dialogue with Helen Thistlewood, she will invite the player to join her in visiting Azkaban in search of Anne Thisbe.
It is believed Anne will have information regarding the missing pages the player is looking for.
During the dialogue with Helen Thistlewood, when players select the dialogue option “I’m ready to go”, they will instantly get teleported to Azkaban.
Prisoner of Love Quest Guide in Hogwarts Legacy
Now that you’ve found the Azkaban location, let’s see what to expect from it. First, players will immediately be greeted by multiple Dementors.
Thankfully, Helen Thistlewood will cast Expecto Patronum to keep both her and the player safe. From there, players can explore a bit, interact with some prisoners, and even navigate the inside of some cells.
After reaching Anne Thisbe’s cell, she will inform the player of the location of the missing pages from the book they’re looking for.
If you’re in a different house and don’t want to switch solely for this quest, consider checking it out on YouTube. It features some great cinematics and the Azkaban location is faithful to the movies.
And that’s all players are doing in Azkaban. The rest of the quest will have them explore a cave in Upper Hogsfield to find the missing pages and talking with Richard Jackdaw to complete the puzzle.
Wrapping up
To summarize, players can get to the Azkaban location in Hogwarts Legacy after progressing through the Prisoner of Love main quest. However, this quest is exclusive to Hufflepuff students and nobody else can access it.
