Did you get the silent alarm notification in Star Trek Infinite but can’t figure out what it means? Here’s everything you need to know about it.
This alert means that an enemy spy ship has invaded your system and its action got detected. However, the ship itself wasn’t detected, which is why you don’t have more information available.
In this guide, I will showcase the silent alarm notification and what it means in Star Trek: Infinite.

What is the Silent Alarm Notification in Star Trek Infinite
The silent alarm notification means that an enemy spy ship has entered your system and has attempted to perform a spy action but failed.
As a result, the spy action was detected and you got the notification. However, the spy ship itself was not detected or captured, which is why clicking on the notification doesn’t give any additional info.
This is a normal part of the gameplay and you’ll get this notification often. After all, a big part of Star Trek Infinite is espionage.
Since you didn’t find the enemy spy ship, what can you do? Thankfully, there is a way to counter-spy and detect enemy ships.
How to Detect Enemy Ships
While you can’t detect the enemy ship, the silent alarm notification will reveal the system and planet where the alarm went off.
To detect enemy ships spying on you, select one of your spy ships, right-click on the planet where the silent alarm triggered, and select ‘Counter Espionage’.
This will start the counter-spy process, which will take a while to complete and will allow you to detect any enemy ships on that planet.

Wrapping up
To sum up, the silent alarm notification in Star Trek: Infinite means that an enemy spy ship’s action has been detected on one of your planets.
While it didn’t detect the ship, you can find it by performing counter-espionage on the same planet with your own spy ship.
