Are you trying to find more digging spots in Spirittea? Here’s how to collect more Spirit Tomes easily and get more Spirits in the bathhouse.

To find digging spots in Spirittea, purchase a Shovel from Song’s shop for 400 Moolags and look for yellow birds to dig their droppings and bright spots at the edge of your screen while using Spirit Vision. Digging in these two locations will grant you Spirit Tomes.

Before setting off on your Spirittea digging adventure, you must buy a Shovel from Song’s shop for 400 Moolags. Without it, you won’t be able to dig.

Additionally, while it’s not necessary, I highly recommend talking to any of the following townspeople and bringing them along:

Fae
Kenzo
Ling
Miko
Tobi
Young

All six of them enjoy digging and you’ll be able to get free friendship points by digging with them.

How to Find Digging Spots in Spirittea

There are three ways to dig and find Spirit Tomes in Spirittea:

Find yellow birds and dig their droppings
Use Spirit Vision and look for bright/glowing spots at the edge of your screen
Buy Ancient Maps from Song’s shop

The first two methods lead to different digging spots, while the third provides hints to find the first two more easily. Let’s go through everything in turn.

Yellow Birds

Yellow Birds, also known as Poobirds, can appear anywhere around time during both day and night. Once you get close to them, they will fly away and leave their droppings.

If you dig where their droppings are, you will get a Spirit Tome.

You can find Yellow Birds in the following locations:

South of your house during the day
Near the Buddha statue at night
East of your house at night
At the hiking trail entrance during the day
West of the hot springs during the day
Top of the mountain during the day
North of the school at night
Near the bathhouse stairs during the day

These eight Yellow Bird locations will grant you eight Spirit Tomes respectively, which will increase the Spirits in your bathhouse and thus your daily income.

Spirit Vision

The second way to get Spirit Tomes is by using your Spirit Vision. While using Spirit Vision, the area at the edges of your screen will be gray.

However, occasionally, you will notice a tile glowing at the edge of your screen. If you dig there, you’ll get a Spirit Tome.

Keep in mind that you can get different Spirit Tomes with this method, so it’s important to do both this and the Yellow Birds if you want to find everything.

There are 10 Spirit Tome locations and they are the following:

Top left side of the southwest beach
Top right side of the temple graveyard
Above the destroyed shrine
On a field next to the convenience store
Next to the railway, near the broken bridge
Next to a white tree, left of the bathhouse
Left of the locked door near the bathhouse
Behind the same locked door
Behind the gacha machine in the village
By the river, west of the hot springs

With these 10, you’ll be able to find more Spirit Tomes and an Elixir scroll for purifying.

Ancient Maps

Lastly, to get hints about more Yellow Bird and Spirit Vision digging locations, you can buy Ancient Maps from the same store where you got the Shovel. Do this only if you have money to spare and you’ve checked all the methods above.
