Are you looking to craft the Tricorne hat in Palworld but can’t figure out how? Here’s everything you need to know, including its stats.
In short, this hat schematic can be purchased from the Duneshelter Merchant, found in the northeast desert biome. Then, you can craft it with Leather at any Workbench.
Let’s go through its exact location and stats to help you decide if it’s worth going for.
How to Get Tricorne Schematic

The only way to obtain the Tricorne Schematic in Palworld is by purchasing it from the Duneshelter Wandering Merchant for 500 coins.
This merchant shows up in the Duneshelter region (aka Dessicated Dessert) on the northeast side of the map, at 350, 350 coords. Since it’s a Wandering Merchant, he might not always be there, so you’ll need to check multiple times.
However, you will only purchase the schematic from this merchant; now, you must also craft Tricorne if you want to use it.
Also, if you don’t want to travel to Duneshelter multiple times for this merchant (since he has various valuable items in stock), consider checking out our guide on how to catch humans in Palworld. You can bring him to your base and access his stock whenever you want!

How to Craft Tricorne
To craft Tricorne, you’ll need 10x Leather. Thankfully, it can be crafted in any Workbench, including the Primitive one.
Just keep in mind that you must have the schematic in your inventory if you want to craft it. Crafting it will not consume the schematic, so you can craft multiple hats for your friends, too, or you can share the schematic. This way, anyone who wants to can craft it.
But is it worth crafting? Let’s go through its stats.
Tricorne Stats
The Tricorne is a headgear protection item and comes with the following stats:
Defense | 25 |
HP | 70 |
Extra Effect | Water Damage Reduction Lv. 1 |
Durability | 250 |
Weight | 5 |
As you can see, the stats aren’t really worth it. The common Metal Helmet grants 150 Defense and 350 HP, which is a significant improvement over the Tricorne.
However, many players prefer the Tricorne simply because it’s stylish. Unfortunately, there’s no way to use the skin only while keeping the stats of the Metal Helmet.
Wrapping up
To wrap this up, you can get the Tricorne in Palworld by purchasing the schematic from the Duneshelter Wandering Merchant at the cost of 500 coins and then using any Workbench to craft it with 10 Leather.
While its stats are significantly lower than a Metal Hat, and it’s not the most effective item at keeping you alive, it looks cool and is fun to use if you enjoy customizing your outfit.
Are you planning to use the Tricorne, or do you think stats are more important than looks? Which headgear and armor set are you using? Feel free to share your loadout in the comments below, especially if it’s a stylish one.
