Minecraft Legends: Best PvP Base Build Guide

Minecraft Legends PvP mode has players trying to see what base layout works, and what doesn’t. With so many different aspects of the game, it can be hard to know where to start.

In this guide, I will go over the best PvP base build, in Minecraft Legends. But where are you supposed to start when it comes to building a strong base?

There are three different factors players will need to keep in mind when creating a base.

  • Walls
  • Offensive Buildings
  • Support Buildings

These three factors will make or break your base, and knowing how to use them will affect how long you will last in any fight.

If you want to know which improvements will help you create the best base, check out our guide on the best improvements to build first, in Minecraft Legends.

Minecraft Legends: How to Best Place Walls

Once you find a suitable location for your base, you will need to fortify yourself. Your base should have a few layers of walls, this goes double for the ones that are within reach of your tower. That’s what you’re trying to protect after all.

Try to have at least three rings worth of walls around it, with the gates placed in the worst possible places to make sure the enemy has a hard time breaking through there. Think of it as large square areas, with your base in the center of it.

Once you built the first square, with everything you need inside it, you will start working on the next. Make sure to keep track of the area of effect buildings, and build offensive buildings around that.

Ince the second layer is built, and fortified you will start to work on the last area. Place Ice Traps behind some of these walls and make sure that there’s a gap in between them that can still be easily defended.

There are two support builds you will especially need to make room for. The Carpenter Huts, and the Masonry. Though I will go into detail in a little bit, always make sure the layers between walls have enough room for them.

Minecraft Legends: How to Best Place Offensive Buildings

There are two offensive buildings that will carry your base’s defense, leaving mobs to the side. The Arrow Tower and the Scatter Tower will be the two towers that will pick off your enemies.

Arrow Tower

Arrow Towers will be your main source of cheap, and effective offense.

Make sure to place them around the layers of your base, and into the passive buffs of support buildings to do their job. They have a lot of range so you don’t have to build them adjacent to the wall.

Leave enough room for traps, and watch the enemy forces freeze and then get shot down. The best location would be close to where the wall makes a corner.

This way you will leave the area close to the get to your next offensive tower.

Scatter Tower

Scatter Towers have a shorter range but fire multiple shots at enemies.

The best location to place them would be around gates, which are the easiest point of entry to your base, and do a lot of damage to enemies as they first come in.

Combine them with ice traps, and combined with the longer-range Arrow Tower your base will be heavily guarded, and difficult to break in, and destroy.

Minecraft Legends: How to Best Place Defensive Buildings

When it comes to defensive buildings resource management is key. There are six buildings that can help the fortification of your base, that work on a case-to-case basis.

When it comes to defenses you can’t be prepared for everything, so scout ahead to know what to expect. The best thing you can do is mix and match defensive buildings.

The outer layer is your first line of defense so making sure it will last longer onslaughts will be important.

Protector Tower

Protector Towers are a great way to protect your base from projectiles of any type.

These are especially useful when your enemy uses Redstone Launchers.

Spyglass Overlook

Though expensive to craft, the Spyglass Overlook allows towers in the inner layer of your base to have a longer range.

If you place them right, even your towers which are the last line of defense will be able to help out in battle way sooner. Those extra shots can make the tide of battle turn in your favor.

Battle Drum

The Batlle Drum is a supportive building that makes its best use on the outer layer of your base.

Once an invasion begins, before the first walls fall the increased firing rate will allow towers, and mods to destroy the enemy frontline before they make so much damage, that the battle is lost.

Carpenter Hut

Carpenter Huts are great to be built in the inner layer of your base, or the outer layer.

They allow for your buildings, and walls to passively heal over time giving you more time to mount a defense.

On the outer layer, they will give you more time to either complete spawners or summon units to defend yourself, as well as give the towers more staying power to give you a leg up.

In the inner layer, it will be your last ditch effort to survive the battle. When both sides are battered, and beaten down, you may be able to pull a win out of thin air.

Kaboomery

Invest in Kaboomery to increase the power of your towers as it turns arrows into explosive projectiles.

Especially when many frontline mobs are super tanky, the explosive powers you add to your towers will help you take them down way faster.

Masonry

Masonry is a building that permanently turns wooden structures into stone. Walls and towers will last longer, and their durability will make a huge difference.

That makes them sturdier, and longer lasting against enemy attacks.

Final Thoughts

You know now that Arrow Towers and Scatter Towers are the best offensive towers to use, and a mix and match of defensive buildings depending on what you face is the best way to build your base in PvP, in Minecraft Legends.
