This Islands of Insight walkthrough guide will help you solve the A New Moment, Son of the Sun, and Knowledge is Power Mysteries.
The puzzles can be a bit confusing at first, but I highly recommend trying to solve them on your own. For the easy way out, I’ll showcase the exact solutions below.
Let’s go through each puzzle location and solution in turn while also explaining how mysteries work.
Islands of Insight Mysteries Explained

Mysteries are end-game puzzles unlocked after finishing the main quest of each Enclave. Access the area near Lucent Water’s fast travel waypoint, and you’ll see multiple pedestals there. Each pedestal corresponds to a puzzle.
After solving 5/10/15 mysteries, you’ll gain access to the central/bottom/top area of the Vault of Vitric. In total, there are 21 puzzles, and you don’t have to solve all of them.
This guide will focus on A New Moment, Son of the Sun, and Knowledge is Power, which are the first three puzzles.
A New Moment
The ‘A New Moment’ puzzle is located near the backside of the last tutorial island. Below the portal that’s on a high hill, there will be a small ruined temple where the puzzle starts after interacting with the logic box.
To solve it, you must connect all dark cells without making a four-square dark pattern. If you’re having trouble figuring it out, here is the exact solution:
Son of the Sun
The ‘Son of the Sun’ puzzle is located at The Empyrean Journey Enclave, next to the four pillars. There’s a small island on the side of the mainland that’s being shined by a beam of light.
For the solution, make sure to match area numbers with region sizes. Here’s the exact solution:
Knowledge is Power
Finally, for the Knowledge is Power mystery, head to The Upper Floor Trial location and left of the bridge, on the staircase, you’ll find the logic grid.
This puzzle is slightly trickier as you must connect all dark cells while making sure that each letter is connected by the same number of white tiles. ‘A’ should have seven connecting white tiles, ‘B’ should have none, ‘C’ must have 3, and ‘D’ must have one.
Here’s the exact solution:
