How to Light a Fireplace in HumanitZ
There are two ways to build a fire in HumanitZ. You can either light an existing fire that can be found in house fireplaces or you can gather the necessary resources and make your own campfire.
To light an existing fire, you only need to have matches or a drill kit on you. Interact with the fireplace and it will light instantly.
To craft a Drill Kit, collect 3x Sticks and 2x Fibers by cutting down bushes and use the crafting menu.
You can get sticks and fibers by cutting down any small bushes around the map.
How to Build a Campfire in HumanitZ
To make a campfire, the process requires a few more items. Specifically, here’s what you’ll need:
- 2x Wood – Collect Wood by using an axe to cut down trees and then splitting the logs.
- 4x Stones – Found on the ground, primarily behind houses.
- 2x Sticks – Found by cutting down small bushes.

After collecting everything, access the crafting menu and you’ll be able to place a campfire from there.
Once placed, interact with the campfire to add the necessary resources and then use a drill kit or matches to light it.
Can’t Place Fire – How to Fix
After crafting the campfire, you’ll notice that it can’t be placed indoors. However, you definitely can. You’re able to place the campfire anywhere.
The only thing blocking you is the placement height. Hold shift + mouse wheel down/up to adjust the placement height of the campfire until it’s on the same height as the house floor.
Once you get the height right, you’ll be able to place the campfire without issue.
