You can get Epic weapons by upgrading the crafting bench to the Epic Tier and using the Epic Pickaxe to collect Iron. Once you have Iron Bars, you’ll unlock the recipes and be able to craft both Epic Weapons.
Let’s examine how to get the prerequisite Epic Tools first and then move on to weapons.
How to Get Epic Tools
To get Epic Tools, upgrade your crafting bench to the Epic tier. This will unlock the Epic Forest Axe and the Epic Pickaxe tools.
- Epic Forest Axe: 3x Copper Bar, 3x Knotroot Rod
- Epic Pickaxe: 8x Obsidian Slab, 5x Frostpine Rod
Once you craft both epic tools, your next destination is the Ice Biome. There, you’ll be able to get all the materials you need to craft Epic Weapons. You only need the Epic Pickaxe to get Iron Ore, but if you can, get the Epic Forest Axe, too.
Before moving on to weapons, you can craft the third and final Epic tool once you get your first Iron Bar.

Once you smelt your Iron Ore and get your hands on an Iron Bar, you’ll unlock the following Epic Weapons in LEGO Fortnite:
- Recurve Crossbow: 3x Iron Bar, 8x Frostpine Rod, 1x Drawstring
- Longsword: 12x Iron Bar

How to Enhance Weapons – Essence Upgrade
While Epic Weapons are currently the highest tier available, you can strengthen them by enhancing them via the Essence Table. You can craft the Essence Table with 20x Flexwood and 6x Cut Amber.
Currently, the following essence upgrades are available:
- Essence of Damage: Increases damage (1x Rough Ruby + 1x Blast Core)
- Essence of Durability: Increases durability (1x Rough Amber + 10x Granite Slab)
- Essence of Health: Increases the chance of enemies dropping healing items when using weapons and tools (1x Rough Amber + 5x Milk + 5x Egg)
- Essence of Luck: Increases the chance of enemies dropping more loot (1x Rough Sapphire + 1x Rough Ruby + 1x Rough Amber)
My favorite one is the Essence of Luck, with the Essence of Damage also being a great choice.
