When starting the main story in Honkai: Star Rail, players will get introduced to Kafka, one of the 5-star characters.
While players get the opportunity to see Kafka in action, and while it is known that she will be a playable character, there is no way to get Kafka currently.

How to Get Kafka in Honkai Star Rail
At the time of writing, there is no way to obtain Kafka in Honkai Star Rail. This is because she hasn’t been released in the game yet.
However, we have some information regarding her playstyle. Kafka will be a 5-star playable character using the Lightning element. Her path will be The Nihility, which specializes in rebuffing enemies (similar to Welt and Pela).
Her weapon of choice will be a Katana, and she’ll offer a combination of single target and AoE attacks. Additionally, her Talent will work similarly to Himeko’s, as Kafka will cast an extra attack after certain ally attacks.

But when will she release? Let’s focus on that.
Kafka Release Data in Honkai Star Rail
Kafka will release as a special character in an upcoming Special Banner. At the moment, the current special character is Seele, while the next one will be Jing Yuan with the Swirl of Heavenly Spear Banner.
According to some reliable but non-official leaks, Kafka is expected to release on Patch 1.2.
As for when to expect the 1.2 update, the estimated release date is around July/August 2023. Kafka’s release date will depend on whether she’s on the first banner of 1.2 or the second one.
If you’re interested in saving for Kafka, consider starting to save your Stellar Jades from now, or from the 1.1 banner.
