Nihility characters focus on debuffing enemies in various ways. For instance, Welt reduces enemy Speed, Pela reduces their Defense, while Sampo increases DoT (damage-over-time) taken.
Additionally, Nihility characters can deal solid AoE and single-target damage on their own, making them ideal choices for any team.
Especially when paired with some of the best DPS characters in Honkai Star Rail, you can expect to see exceptionally high damage numbers.

Best Nihility Character
The best Nihility character in Honkai Star Rail is Welt, as of patch 1.0. Welt uses his Skill and Ultimate to reduce the Speed of enemies, while also delaying their actions by Imprisoning them.
On top of that, he is the only character currently that uses the Imaginary Element, which makes him invaluable for any team facing enemies with Imaginary Weaknesses.
However, there are also two upcoming Nihility characters: Kafka and Silver Wolf. While we don’t know much about how strong they’ll be yet, they are both 5-Star characters and we’ve seen them in various spots throughout the story.
Based on that, it is quite likely that the best Nihility character in Honkai Star Rail will change within the next patches, but for now, we can only wait and see.
Best 4-Star Nihility Character
If you haven’t been lucky enough to get a 5-Star, the best 4-Star Nihility Character is Pela. In some teams, she is even better than Welt.
Pela uses the Ice Element, has a Skill that removes one buff from an enemy, and an Ultimate that causes all enemies to become Exposed, which reduces their defense by 33% for two turns.
Due to that, Pela is a great addition to any team that wants to do more damage. Especially when combined with a character like Seele, Pela can help deal phenomenal damage numbers.
