Hogwarts Legacy: How to Make Money Fast

Money is an important part of Hogwarts Legacy for progressing quests, unlocking new items for the Room of Requirement, and experiencing everything the game has to offer.

However, even in the wizarding world, money doesn’t grow on trees and players have been trying to find the best method for getting rich fast.

Thankfully, there is an easy and extremely efficient way to do that. The best way to make money fast in Hogwarts Legacy is by capturing and selling beasts.

Another great but less consistent way of making money is by opening any chests with eyes you encounter while exploring. Each gives 500 coins, which is a lot of money.

In this guide, I will explain how to make money fast in Hogwarts Legacy by capturing and selling beasts.

How to Unlock the Beast Vivarium in Hogwarts Legacy

The first step to catching beasts and making money is unlocking the Beast Vivarium within the Room of Requirement. To unlock the Beast Vivarium, players will need to complete two main story quests first: The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament and the Helm of Urtkot.

Afterward, interacting with Deek within the Room of Requirement will start ‘The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom’ main story quest, which unlocks the Beast Vivarium and the Nab-Sack, which is essential for catching beasts.

Equip the Nab-Sack from the spells menu and get close to wild beasts to capture them. But how do you use this method to make money fast? Let’s see.

With the Nab-Sack equipped, travel to the Mooncalf Den Floo Flame (just left of Hogwarts Castle, near Quidditch Field) during nighttime. If it’s daytime, check out our guide on how to change the time of day in the game.

From there, capture as many Mooncalves as you can. Use Levioso to prevent them from escaping and capture them with the Nab-Sack.

In total, there are eight Mooncalves in this area, and capturing all of them shouldn’t take more than five minutes.

After capturing everything at the Mooncalf Den location, open your map and switch the time to day. Travel to the Forbidden Forest Floo Flame just on the right of the Mooncalf Den.

From there, get on your broom and head east until you find the Puffskein spawn point that Deek shows you during the main story mission.

There are usually 8-10 Puffskein in this area, and they are even easier to capture compared to Mooncalves. Simply use Revelio to spot them and you’ll be able to catch them in no time.

After catching all beasts in both spawn points, travel to the North Hogsmeade Floo Flame and visit the Brood and Peck store nearby. There you can sell all your captured beasts.

Each beast sells for 120 coins, which adds up if you’ve managed to catch most of them in the two mentioned locations.

After selling, change the time to night again, and visit the Mooncalf Den to rinse and repeat. Keep repeating until you’ve made as much money as you need.

Wrapping up

To summarize, players can make money fast in Hogwarts Legacy by using the Nab-Sack to capture Mooncalves and Puffskein. Then, sell any beasts caught to Brood and Peck in Hogsmeade.
